FITBIT Chat for week of Sep 1

It's a new week. Where are you taking your FITBIT this week?

I took mine on a 12 mile walk this morning, 20,000 steps. I was terrible yesterday both from a step and a 5:2 point of view.

Back to my FITBIT journey....rather than drive to the lake and walk around it, I walked there then still walked around it. Did call OH for a ride home though as I didn't pack any snacks and was pooped. Might try it again tomorrow with snacks.

Hope everyone has a great week and hit all your goals and have successful fasts.
That sounds like a fantastic if tiring day golinda :) I'm glad you're back on track too.

It's the beginning of the Saudi week here. They have recently changed the weekend from Thursday/Friday to Friday/Saturday. It's meant I've changed my fasting days to Sunday and Wednesday.

I've almost finished the whole day. I'm feeling really hungry and my tummy is rumbling but I've just made a cup of tea and I'm hoping that will help.

I've got past my steps goal today but somehow walking up the stairs seems hard!

I'm hoping this week to do a full 5:2 week and to keep on keeping on with my steps.

Have a great week everyone :)
Oh my, another week already.

Well news for my week past - Fitbit sent me my first weekly report since June, my dashboard went loopy (in google chrome only) and I pulled my hamstring (or something)
Hoping for a less complicated FitBit week :clover:

Oh and I'm planning to Fast Tuesday and Thursday
Hope your hamstring gets sorted soon SianS. Can you still walk to get your steps in. I'm gearing up to what might soon be a normal week for me. Back to work tomorrow.
Hahahaha Just looked at the leaderboard and had to hit next cause I was at the bottom. Been sick all week last week but still had to go to work due to it being the end of month! So lets just say by the time I got home I just flopped onto the couch.

Today I am still feeling pretty yuck which was reflected in my steps - I spent the whole weekend on the couch as well as today.

I did a fast day today though and I am determined to get a big walk in before breakfast tomorrow.

Here's to a better week!
Sorry you're feeling poorly tbreweton. I hope you make a speedy recovery :)

I had a bad night and only got five hours sleep last night and consequently barely moved for most of the morning. I felt better after an afternoon nap though and managed to make up my steps then. It's the first time I've noticed that the evening calories are slower to burn than the daytime ones.

How's everyone else doing? How's your leg SianS?
I sure hope that Tim and SianS would feel better and Umleilla would get a good night sleep.
We had a long weekend which is nearing its end. I was on call so could not go too far but did lots of shopping and cooking. On Wednesday evening we have the Rosh hashana dinner. This is the Jewish new year  and I started preparations since I'm working on Wednesday and we are going to have 8 people for dinner. Managed to do some work too so it was a productive weekend... And of course...many steps  tomorrow is a fast day :starving:
Thanks Einatlb. I had a much better night last night :) good luck on your fast day tomorrow. It sounds like you've timed it very well just before your big meal. Happy New Year for Wednesday :)

Bump!

We must have been too busy stepping to be chatting. It took me a while to find the Fitbit thread. Hope everyone is having a good week!
Good Morning,
I saw the physio yesterday about my hamstring which is damaged but apparently not too badly, she has given me the OK to use the Cross Trainer (hooray) but not to run. So I should start getting my steps up again.

Here's and interesting thing that I didn't previously know, you have to eat before acupuncture (which she is going to do tomorrow) - apparently it can cause your blood sugar to drop. So no Thursday Fast for me this week. I can't face 2 days back to back and Friday is a no-no so my 5:2 week just turned into a 6:1 week.
Hi SianS that is interesting. Is the acupuncture part of your physio? I had it for a bad shoukder a long time ago. I found it helpful. I always felt sleepy after though. Hope you're on the road to recovery soon.

I had an abysmal day yesterday. It started with our a/c going on the blink! There was no way I was doing my usual morning jog without it on, and I never really recovered after that! Today is better and I've done lots of steps to make up and it's a fast day which somehow makes it easier :)

Hope everyone is having a good day today.
Oh No, No A/C Umleila! That must be awful at this time of year.

Yes the physio is going to use acupuncture for my leg and also for a dodgy shoulder I have been stubbornly ignoring for some time.

I'm now on more steps by lunchtime than during the whole of yesterday !
Didn't get any steps in so far this week cause still been sick - feeling quite a bit better today though so going to walk to the supermarket and back (about 5000 steps) don't want to over do it though in case my body crashes again - im sick of this flu!

Fast day today too so this walk should feel more satisfying!
Ops got a bit carried away - 8489 steps and its 11am
Thank goodness I logged some good steps this past weekend as work has been long. Still trying to make a few steps each morning before work.

If my FITBIT would count candy corn as steps I'd be golden...gave into temptation at work today. Thank goodness tomorrow is fast day!
