Getting Sweaty! Exercise & Fitness

Since I got my Fitbit One about 6 weeks ago and joined the fitbit group I've been so busy counting my steps and making sure that I will reach my targets every day that I'm not preoccupied with the fasting issue anymore. Fast days are much easier this way and I feel much more energetic and ready to run around the house in the evenings to complete my last steps of the day. It is really fun and recommended . I wish more people in this forums will get a fitbit and will join our group of 5:2 fasters in the Fitbit community.
Yay great to hear! Ordered my "One" as well as the fitbit scales last night :-D Should be here in the next couple of days hopefully
I"m getting one. Still can't decide between One and Flex. Really really really want the flex because having of the ease of wearing it (I've lost a couple of clip on pedometers already) but think it might be a bit inaccurate. Sigh. Then I came across this one http://thetechsideoffit.com/2013/06/03/ ... ness-band/ which looks even better (crowdsource funded, not sure when I'll just be able to buy one).

As usual, my putting decisions off and procrastinating means it's taking me a while...
the thing that made me decide between the one and the flex is the flex will count typing as steps as its on your wrist. I type all day long so although it would make me feel good about my activity level it wouldn't be the best motivator haha
KataMac, this Amiigo is intriguing indeed, but I'm not sure when you'll be able to buy it. How much it wil cost and whether you'll be able to join the fitbit community. I hope you'll make a decision soon. I think that the combination of the device and the community, belonging to groups and competing with other people, is great and definitely encouraging me to do more. TBrewerton, good luck with your new fitbit and see you soon in our group
I have a Jawbone Up. I had a fitbit and a Striiv and this is my favorite so far. Best reason is that every morning I couldn't find my pedometer and one time I even washed and dried my fitbit b/c I forgot to take it off my shirt! This is something I wear all the the time and it can even go in the shower.
My One and aria scales arrived today - so excited!

One is now charged and ready to go.

A little disappointed with the scales though sadly :-( They look really nice and were easy to set up to my internet but when I stand on them it just shows "Err" not a good thing for your self confidence when you stand on scales and they say "Err" lol

Quick google shows a few others who have had this issue - some it still occurs others got replacements... Not a good start indeed.

Excited about my one though - about to go for a big walk just because I want to test it out haha
I totally agree. It gives the day a different focus away from food and not eating and really takes my mind off the fasting.
Not too impressed so far.. Spent the last 3 hours trying to get the scales going with no luck.

There seems to be no telephone support or contact details - I found an email support line but who knows how long that will take.

The product came with no manual so no way of troubleshooting, and if you search for the manual on the website it gives you a link to a page that no longer exists.

Bloody useless - its sad causes its taken away from the excitement I had getting these products :-( Hopefully I can get a response from them before the weekend.

Now I am starving! Its not a fast day but I didn't want to eat cause I wanted to get my first scale reading hahahaha - Time to go have a big feed followed by shower and then a huge walk to try out the fitbit one (and cool off a bit)
Bummer, TBrewerton! I have only had to contact Fitbit once via email and they got back to me in 30 minutes. :) It was a Saturday and I was pretty shocked. I didnt expect to hear anything from them until Monday.
That's great to hear! Hopefully I will hear from them soon then :-) Thanks for your reply it makes me more optimistic haha
Sorry for your bad experience with te Aia scale TBewerton. I hope they will solve it for you Soon
Have you had any luck?
Just got an email from them saying its a calibration error - most likely from the movement in transit. They said leave it on a firm flat surface and it should re calibrate itself and if I don't have luck get back to them.

I tried on heaps of surfaces yesterday but that may also have contributed to the problem by moving them around... Il put them in one spot and try again tonight
I Want one !!! Yes I know I'm worth it but couldn't justify the price of the dam thing :geek: mainly because of all these new clothes I've had to buy because everything was hanging off me
So just to tie me over for a while I bought a new pedometer from ALDI of all places and don't understand any of the bloody instructions !!! lol
Best of all there was nothing wrong with my old pedometer :like: good job I didn't pay too much :clover: maybe Santa could get me a flex if I ask him very nicely + sit on his knee in my new undies :clover: Sue
