Activity trackers

I have found that using an activity tracker has helped me so much in losing weight.
These are becoming really popular and ought to be considered by anyone wanting to lose weight and get fitter.
Has anyone else used one of these.

Which tracker are you using? Is it an app?

I'm currently trying to decide between fitbit flex, fitbit zip and jawbone up...

I had a fitbit last summer and lost half a stone just from being more aware of how many calories I'd burnt. I think they make you want to do more exercise just to make the numbers go up!!

What do you use Fitbugorb?

I dunno what activity trackers are, but I have a pedometer and I always aim to get 15,000 or more steps on it by the end of the day :) yesterday went up to 20,000! Proud! :)

Hi
I have a Fitbit Zip which I love I sync it with MyFitnessPal which I use as my core tracker. Since I started running a few weeks ago I also use Runtastic on my phone to track my route/ time etc.
In line with advice from the MFP people I have synced Fitbit to MFP and Runtastic to MFP (but not Runtastic and Fitbit together to avoid double counting) I also don't wear my Fitbit on my Runtastic runs (unless I forget to take it off)
Incidentally my Fitbit recently went through the washing machine still attached to my sports bra, and survived.
I love a gadget ! :geek:
@IcePrincess basically they are posh pedometers

I have the fitbit zip too and I love it. It was my inital motivation for losing weight and has helped me become more active and more aware of my activity levels throughout the day. I thoroughly reccomend it :)

I use the fitbugorb, love it to bits. It's just come out and is working well. For anyone who doesn't know what an activity tracker is, it is a small device that measures your activity like a pedometer. The fitbugorb measures your sleeping patterns as well. All this data is uploaded to your personal account where you can see how you are progressing.Fitbuforb can give you advice on how to increase your daily activities so that you lose weight and get fitter. All the data can be accessed via any bluetooth device, ie iphone, ipad. Hope this is useful.

Hello Fitbugorb, when I looked it up the fitbugorb is only available for pre-order, and only works with those horrible iPhones.

How did you get one?

As far as I know, it hasn't come out yet either. It seems different to the fitbit ones in that you need to sign up with a monthly subscription to their website (£2.99 a month) as well as the initial outlay.
