Getting Sweaty! Exercise & Fitness

6 posts Page 1 of 1
Hi all,

I'm fasting today and wondered if anyone had any ideas for a fairly low calorie boost before my spinning class this evening?
Or - should I not fast on a day where I'm planning such an intensive work out??

Your thoughts would be appreciated :)

Thank you

I know this will sound like boasting but it is to help you. I am 67 Yesterday I was on a 36 house water fast &I walked a hilly 4.5 miles then cut a large area of grass and went to Zumba in the evening. I was fine and it passed the day nicely
Get you Nessie thats fab!
I love my spinning classes but have never yet dared to try it on a fast day... I find it do challenging when i have eaten breafast and I am a bit worried to try without. Let me know how it goes and I might give it a try!!
I do a spin class on a Monday which is one of my fasting days and I have been perfectly fine (I quite like thinking that my body must be fueling all this hard work from reserves rather than daily intake of food!) I have found that I don't see/feel any difference fasting then doing cardio workouts but do struggle a bit if I do a weight lifting/body pump class on a fast day.
I spin twice a week and often fast on the same day.

I usually have an egg on toast about 2 hours before the evening class, then soup when I return before bed. I also make sure I drink plenty of water.

I don't find the class any more difficult than an eating day....in fact it sometimes feels easier.
