Getting Sweaty! Exercise & Fitness

Fasting today, felt like trying another zero calorie 36 hours.

I also ran 8 km, walked 8 km and spent 30 minutes on my rowing machine, so I should have burned about 1600 kcal today.

I don't really know if training like this and not eating at all actually is a good idea, but I feel fine and didn't suffer too much. I just wanted to see what it was like.

So, is working out like this with zero calories a very bad idea, or is it OK, what do you think?
10 push-ups
60kg Deadlift, 15 reps
25 Box jumps, 18 inch box
50 Pull-ups
100 Wallball shots, 14 pounds, 6'
Run 400 meters

I did this today on a coffee with cream (feeling in need of something) and then mince stew for tea. I'm living off my fat!
Listen to your body, if it is telling you you are doing too much on a full-on fast day, you probably are.
I find it a very bad idea but I don't have any special knowledge. Perhaps you could ask a physician or a trainer?
Go read Brad Pilons blog. He has been fasting way longer then Dr M and his book. The guy is an advocate to weight training and fasting and his site is full of informationn and hard core trainers who fast.
Your BMI, distances, and "I feel fine" statements say it all. Go for it.

For me, exercising on fast days ensures that I'm primarily burning fat instead of glucose. And you'll likely feel more tired with longer distances on fast days until you've adapted to this WOE.
Yeah, Brad Pilon & Lean gains, IF was popular with the ripped fraternity way before MM. I was reading around this prior to starting Crossfit and it just happens my training days are co-inciding with my fast days. I have no issues with this now that I've adapted to living off my fat, which is disappearing at a rate of knots.

I will probably still train fasted after I stop trying to lose weight as I have never managed to exercise with food ingested happily. However, if I am hungry, I do eat and have a wide and varied diet on other days. I drink milk too if I'm hungry after a workout. I've not gone down the supplement path yet, other than fish pills and some vitamins.
This strategy worked for me, but I might have lost a bit of lean mass in the process. Now down to target and eating to match exercise levels I am running better than I have for two years. I think skimmed milk/chocolate milk is a good precaution after a hard or prolonged workout to get some glycogen back into muscles and provide amino acids for repairs (not investigated BCAAs yet, Peter Attia uses them though...)
Hmm..., the weight loss from this zero cal day + workout was a bit insane, I lost 2.4 kg in one day, despite drinking loads of water. Most of it was from water loss I would assume. Came in handy anyway since I went on a cruise and planned a serious pig out.

Oh well, I wount check my weight for almost two weeks, will be interesting to see where I land when I get back.
