Other than those things, I wouldn't know what to suggest. I also have the Garmin Connect app on my phone and can sync via blue tooth if I'm not at my laptop.
Maybe a google search "Can't sync my Vivofit" would yield some answers?

finally at 1am i got it to sync by changing which usb port i put the Ant thing into. but then when i go to sync today it says its done but when i go to the connect site, steps are 0 yet ive done more than 600.
just teeting trouble i guess.
the community site is pretty useless.
