Here's a single picture that summarizes what various BMI's might look for the ladies (Though - as a guy, I'm disturbed by the idea of having 'moob's at a teens-level BMI but...):

Anyone not want to exercise now?
Well Adf thank you for these posts it confirms what was going thru my mind a few weeks ago. Exercise is a must. It is great to lose the weight in a healthy way with 5:2 but it is not the complete formula. As much as I hate to say it exercise is just as important for health.
Thanks again.
Exercise is important to regain/retain function and strength as you age. You don't need to look strong to be strong but keeping your mobility is so important.

Helps with life so much if you can be independent as you get older. I'd got pretty immobile very young and it was scary.

Everyone thinks exercise = ripped dudes but it's not really about that over the long-term.
Hi everybody
I have been reading this thread about exercise and found it very interesting, strikes a cord with me, about 7 years ago I lost weight and went from size 16 to a 10, I always try and eat low fat things and now also doing the fasting since 2 weeks ago. I hardly weigh myself, but when I did I saw 9st 13 lbs, wasn't happy BUT im still a size 10 and my clothes feel looser, so I can only put it down to muscle gain! I walk everyday and do a light exercise routine on my off days from work... its confusing and different websites will tell you different theories..
that is why I give the scales a miss, and go by my clothes, especially jeans lol! I am not a heavy exerciser but it just go to show,a little on a regular basis makes a huge difference, it does make you leaner and more toned...even just dancing around to music!!
anyway I just thought id give my thoughts on this... happy fasting everyone!!
