13th January Fasting Tuesday
13 Jan 2015, 06:19
Hopefully everyone settling to do a fast day will also end up having a good one today. I am at it and committing to it on the forum again! It does help to state it. :clover:
Aloha from me, too, and all the best, fasters  I am in with you - 4:3 for me like all of January. Maybe again tomorrow (or Thursday - depending on how I will get up tomorrow) and for sure Saturday.

Today I will get a new electric stove and to mark the foccasion leave it - ha ha - cold

Happy day to all of you

I'm in. just dinner to go today, and another fast day completed.

Good luck, Tuesday fasters!
Me too! Second of three.
I'm not a Tuesday faster (I'm 4:3 with FDs on Monday, Wednesday & Friday) but I've recently realised that all of my days contain a fasting element. E.g., Monday's fast includes the time after my last meal on Sunday (which can be late afternoon) and the time up until my breakfast on Tuesday. :geek:

Anyhow, :clover: to all of you Tuesday fasters, particularly any new people or re-starters who are finding their way.
Hello everyone and good luck. I'm fasting today too and putting it out there so I stay strong. Didn't make the best choices for my 500 calories today but at least I have stuck to them. And with only a few hours now til bed time I think I'll be fine.
I'm in today as well, my first of the week and I'm doing two back to back fasts. Partly because Thursday is out due to a Blood Donor session and partly as a result of last night's Horizon prgram. Let's see how this goes. :clover:
Im in today. Failed the 4:3 last week but managed a 5:2 so not too disappointed. Will try again for a 4:3 this week Good luck all
Oh @Minsmum what are you doing in here on a Tuesday?!!!
Don't worry Phil @philxjr a 5:2 weeks is better than a no fast at all week! And you still lost a lot if I remember. I'm sure this will be your best week yet!!
As for me, I shall be eating at lunch time. Yesterday's fast seemed quite a long one...but I stuck to around 470 calories, so I'm pre-tt-y pleased with myself
Have a great fast today everyone
Pony up everyone for a smoooth and easy fast today! X
Love yr little Hawaiian dancer @Mahalo Enjoy yr new cooker tomozz!x
@philxjr well done on 5:2 last week,and fingers x'd for yr 4:3 this week!x
I'm in today! Been going great so far... I'm thinking of making a salmon chowder (around 300 cals) for dinner... still need to share my soup recipes.

Had some serious tummy issues last week... hoping that won't repeat. I'm a little worried that my body was struggling to settle back into fasting after my 2-week break over the holidays. Has anyone else noticed this? :(

Or maybe it's more that I had a bit of a dodgy dinner at a local restaurant on a feed day. I kind of hope that's it as I don't want to have any long term problems from fasting as it's been going swimmingly so far.

Hi All,
Yesterday was my first fast and it went really well. The question I have is... has anyone done two in a row? I looked at my schedule this week and I realized today is the only other day I don't have a social commitment. I had planned to do 3:4, but if I don't fast today, I won't even be able to do 2:5.
Thanks for any advice!

Thanks, I should have read all the posts before posting mine! I was wondering if people ever did back to back fasts, and here is my answer! I figured it would be okay, as Muslims do Ramadan for 40 days, but didn't know since they don't do limited calories.

Hi Liz @Lizardline
One of the beauties of this Way of Eating is the flexibility, and yes people do fast on two consecutive days, but I have found the second day hard. I don't know if you're in the UK but there was a Horizon program on last night called The Right Diet, which split a group of volunteers into 3 groups and one group was a Fasting group (there is a forum thread on the program and it is available on iPlayer). On the program they recommended a 2 day fast and as that's what fits my commitments this week I am going to try it.
I must stress this is a huge simplification of the program which involved eminent experts and lots of blood tests, worth a watch if you are interested, part 2 is on tonight.
Off to drink more tea to quell the rumblings
