I'm joining you today, doing a LOF, if anything I started out by having food on my fast days but the choice of bad food is still there ( within the calories) , so I decided to do LOF and it's so much easier you don't have to think about food, the only issue I have my fast days alway seem to fall on a gym night and I get a bit weiry as the one time I did LOF I almost fainted at the end of gym work, so I have a low cal energy drink 50 cals before I go then have one too while I'm there, but last time I did it I worked off 840 cals so I thought that was ok,

However, best laid plans and all that, friend rang up this morning, "Fancy a walk to the pub this lunch-time?"
So I'll just fast until lunch, which will give me a good 18 hour fast - then I'll try again on Wednesday!

Jmousey, if you dislike liquid fasting so much, why do you insist on doing it? Surely the whole point of 5:2 is making it as easy for yourself as possible. Find what suits you and your lifestyle the best and go with that.

jmousey - if you hate liquid fasts, please don't do them! It won't do you any good in the long run if you're doing something you hate. Yes, maybe try 4:3 or perhaps see how big a meal you can get away with for 300 calories on your 5:2 days if you're trying to cut back. You can still have loads of veg and some meat for that!
