Happy Birthday @wendyjane. That sounds like an excellent plan.
I am starting to feel hungry. I've had some cottage cheese - perhaps it's time for some more. Dinner tonight is a salad with spinach, avocado and pine nuts. I can't wait. More tea.

@Sallyo I didn't say being too light was a problem  I am with Wallis Simpson: you can never be too rich or too thin. However I thought I might start getting the tedious "my god u r so skinny", so thought I'd add extra cals.but I went overboard, sadly, but another good lesson. @MaryAnn I refuse to let that naughty food hit me in the mouth today, I know it will be eyeballing me when I open the fridge, but I'll give it the bums rush, hide it at the back of the fridge and dream about it tonight. The naughty food is a jar of NZ lemon Curd that happened to throw itself into my trolley. OMG!!bad move because it is delish but full of sugar and calories. I have sadly found my true love

@GMH, I, too, have a naughty food these days: these wonderful little almond cookies dusted in powdered sugar. Each pack has over 400 calories, so I try to limit myself to half the pack on a non-fast day. Stapling the bag shut helps, but sometimes the only way forward would be to staple my mouth shut!

Happy Birthday to you, @wendyjane!

I'm also in! Managed nothing to eat until 11:00am and at 3:45 have had 2 soft boiled eggs and 1 cup of homemade-nothing nasty in it, veggie soup. Salad and steamed veggies for dinner. Around 520 cals. :)

Happy Birthday Wendyjane. Wishing you all the best for the future. Very impressed that you are fasting today. Well done!!!

I am fasting today, too. Lost just over a lb last week which places me in the middle of my maintenance range.
Good luck everyone.

Well I think it must be over a year since I joined this thread
We confirmed this weekend what we've always suspected, I didn't eat huge volumes & I didn't snack, but every meal had either bread or pasta, so three days later & I've gained 1300g !!!!!!!
I knew last night when I went to bed that I was going to be fasting today!

Happy birthday @WendyJane & happy fasting one & all

It's 3.30pm, I've had a salad and some nuts and have come in at about 540 cals so I have shut the kitchen for the rest of the day. Well, I would if I had one!
I have some sugar free jelly in my fridge so that should do me for the day.
What a good birthday girl WendyJane!!!

Back in today...can it really be a month?
Two weeks away on holiday by the Red Sea, a week recovering from the tummy bug we endured whilst there and afterwards, and then a week recovering from my daughter's 1st Hen weekend.
I'm also devoting November to be a No Sugar environment, save for a glass of wine on Sundays. It's harder than I thought, but easier than the constant internal struggle about whether to have a biscuit or not.
Can't weigh myself, as my cleaner dropped my glass scales on the tiled floor, and I'm waiting for her to bring new ones. But my waist measurement is creeping down. Huzzah!
Cheers to one and all from damp and dreary Luxembourg.

No @wendyjane one DEFINITELY DOESN'T fast on their birthday!!
Have FAB day!
I was supposed to fast today but my mum said she'd taken the mince out of the freezer. Well, seeing as mince is my favourite meal, I couldn't resist. So I'm sorting of half fasting by avoiding breakfast and just having my mince. I'm sure it'll be more than 500 cals...but I'm doing my best!
Happy Fasting everyone!
Bean xx

I'm in .. need to try and repair a disaster week last week :curse:
My work laptop broke and took 4 days to fix so I am way behind with everything, my car broke and is in the garage with a big red engine warning light on ... so I am having to work from home which has put my boss in a bad mood not good when we are just starting year end reviews.

So .. last week I alternated banging my head on the wall trying to get my laptop fixed with eating junk because I was stressed and miserable :-(
My fast days were good but not good enough to balance out the junk ...
So on todays menu ...

Late lunch of Quest Protein Bar ( the only ones that taste good !) 170 cals
Dinner of Innocent Thai Veg Pot - 277 cals
And lots of black coffee and hot water and Apple Cider Vinegar in between ... not sure about the health benefits to it I just like the taste
