Fast Wednesday 26.11.14
25 Nov 2014, 20:47
Good morning!
I have decided to fast today, a day earlier than usual, because I ate out yesterday and then had some additional food at home, partly in celebration of the fact that my orthopedic surgeon has disagreed with the MRI radiologist's report and thinks that my synthetic ACL is still attached ok. I hope he is right!
Anyway, my tummy is very full this morning, so not feeling any need to eat. I am thinking I will still have my usual salad lunch but as late as possible, and then a broth soup at dinner time.
Good luck to other fasters today! :clover: :clover:

I'm in as well. Woke up a bit hungry, but seem to be hanging tough at nearly noon. Fortunately another busy day in the office to keep my min off fasting. good luck all

Busy days help a lot Nicole! I am cleaning out the bedroom of younger son who has just moved out... He did take a lot, but working out what to do with the remainder is tricky. I should joint the decluttering tent !!
Just having a break for first black coffee for the day - had an early start for me today, so coffee is a little earlier than usual. Still very full tummy - will be interesting to see when hunger strikes!
Keep up the good work! :D

I'm in today!
I used to do Mondays and Thursdays but have taken to Wednesdays as a way of getting it out of the way early in the week. not sure what I prefer - I think Wednesdays feel more difficult and I think I liked having it more spread out... but I can't get over the 'got to get it out of the way' thing!
Does anyone else get really affected by caffeine on fast days? I can't drink tea/coffee any more on fast days as I get such a head rush!

Hi @kelkelkelster
I only have half-strength coffee but it can still give me a caffeine rush, not always on fast days tho. I haven't been able to work out when I get the boost and when I don't - but I do love it when I do, it makes me feel that anything is possible!!!! Gives me a little bit of insight as to how people can get addicted to drugs.
My first coffee for the day today made me feel good, but the second coffee that I am having now has had little impact. I haven't had anything to eat in between. Maybe one rush a day is all my body will do!!

I'm sensitive to caffeine in general; I haven't noticed a particular sensitivity on fast days. I stop after 3 cups pretty much everyday.

Just waking up to a fast day. I have decaf coffee but I still go off it a bit on fast days. Perhaps it's just the tastebuds rebelling.

As I've readjusted me TDEE etc this week I'm going to try just sticking to Marigold today and see what happens. Hubby will probably go loopy but there you go.

I'm in.
Feeling sorry for myself and letting my hubs pour me a huge glass of red wine is not in my character.
Cuppa soup at the ready. Salmon and aubergine bake already prepared.
See you later.

Hello, I am fasting today, the day before Thanksgiving. It has been a little tough, because we had a staff breakfast today with tons of food, AND I had to pick up the bagels. But, I resisted! That's where I think fasting is easier, if I were trying to just have a little something, I might not have made the best choices. I am going out with a friend tonight, so I will try to get a nice salad, but I'm probably going to have a drink too, so it might end up being a little higher calorie fast day. But, I figure still better than not at all!

Good fasting and Happy Thanksgiving to those here in the U.S!

Good morning! I'm here today because tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I'm thinking about moving my Thursdays to Wednesdays anyway because it is hard to fast at work yet I eat a lot less at work. So for now I think Mondays and Wednesdays for 5-2 then Saturdays being a 16-8 day in a effort to control my eating on Saturday.

I'm back on the 5:2 after months of being lazy, and this is my second day this week.
I normally only start eating lunch around 12/1pm and then snack on my portioned out snack foods for the rest of the day.
I made the mistake of having breakfast today to change up my routine and then just lunch instead. Totally regret this. I am now starving and have been thinking about pizza for the last 2 hrs.

Can't believe that I forgot to sign in for my usual Wednesday fast :) I'm on course for a good FD and looking forward to this evening's Thai-style broth.

:clover: to other Wednesday abstainers :)
