Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.

After a sort of half fast and a real fast* last week I'm going to give it a try today. I'm on different painkillers now that don't require me to have a meal first. If I feel at all unwell I will just go ahead.

* I didn't eat anything for 24 hours but I was on a drip.
I'm in today, 11.37am and starting to feel very hungry - might go for a walk and wait for it to pass. Planning not to have any calories until 7pm(ish)
I'm with you both. Normally it would have been Thursday but company came for dinner, so today worked better.
It's now 4:45 PM and I've had nothing to eat today. I'm hungry but not excessively so. Grilled chicken and veg will be eaten in about an hour. :grin:
2 hours to go and I have done 24 hours no food - I think I am starting to prefer this method as before I would just get more and more hungry the more small portions I ate during the day. this way its just small waves of hunger that seem to pass within about 30mins

Keep it up all you other fasters!
I'm in. Cooking for family today and will have to muster lots of willpower to fast. Planning to eat one meal at 5 pm. Happy fasting, everyone.
Back in after 4 weeks in Taipei while kids did Mandarin Summer camp. Started holiday with best of intentions. First week, got my 2 fast days in; second and third weeks, only managed one fast day (but better than nothing, right?) and fourth week, gave up altogether (having too much fun). However, arrived back today and am in. Actually craving plain, simple meals (having eaten out for 4 weeks). Slice of asparagus and mushroom frittata for lunch with steamed broccoli and another with weight watchers cabbage soup tonight. Shouldn't be too bad.
I'm in today. Tried during the week but was sabotaged by a thoughtful mother in law who had done birthday buffet and presented me with a hot cheese and onion pasty that she had bought especially for me as I don't eat meat and everyone else had home made sausage rolls :) was a lovely thought but took up my food allowance for the day hehe. So today I will be extra good. Want to make it a whole stone lost in the next couple of weeks. Nearly there... Good luck fellow fasters xx
Also in today. Working up to lunchtime with a kids event so that should be a good distraction!
Morning all :) I'm in for today as swapped from yesterday as we went out to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Feel like I never have to eat again, to be honest. (OK - ask me again in 10 hours!?!)
I'm in today as well. Feeling positive again after letting things slip. Just had breakfast (strawberries, Greek yogurt and honey for 75 calories). Lunch is lined up - a Sainsbury tapas dish, Catalan Prawn Pasta, 197 calories. That leaves me a whole 225 calories for supper! I could even have an afternoon snack!

Oooh Taipei! You were less than 1hr flight from where I am. It's meant to be a great food city. Good for you to get in as many fasts as you did :-)
Yes count me in :like: but just for a semifast today where I'll go the 24 hrs and then eat what I want tonight as I'm out for meal and of course wine will be involved :heart: Good Luck to us all :clover: Sue
I am in today after missing my usual Thursday fast. My brother took me for a spa break, did lots of exercise etc but also enjoyed the top quality food they had :). It was worth it.

I'm in. Third ever fast day for me. Had an epic food day yesterday, so struggling a little with cravings today!!

:cool: 4 hours now Doodle, how do you feel?!
Going through a.mini mental crisis. This is where I usually give.up the diet and eat my sorrows away. Really struggling to fast today!
