Actually the hardest part is not work lunches, but the insomnia!! Has anyone experienced trouble sleeping on the nights of their fasts? It bothers me a lot, and I am seeing a trend of poor sleep quality on my fast days.

I'm in too!
I've got id of the after effects of that pizza I scoffed on Sunday and am back to 11 8.
Was so busy yesterday,I didn't get to go on the treadmill (or walk the dogs - that was down to hub!).

Out for lunch today and the pub does a very nice prawn salad, so that's what I'll have, then a oily dal veggie curry for tea. Should bring me in around the 500 mark.

Holibobs tomorrow - yippee!

I'm in today too after a break for a couple of weeks of fabulous holidaying in Northern Queensland! Tuesday fast went well but have cheated with some nibbles tonight before tea! Bad girl. Oh well there is always next week!
Happy Friday everyone for tomorrow!

I'm in, but we have lots of leftovers in the fridge from last night's BBQ including puddings, so I'll see how it goes. Unfortunately they aren't freezable. Sigh. :starving:

We put the cooked meat in the fridge quickly so it's safe and I have plans for the chicken and sausage, but am wondering whether I can do anything with leftover burgers. :?:

Have a good day everyone... :clover:

Thought I posted in this thread already but it hasn't showed up after all. I'm fasting today too, second one of the week.

Golarne, could you chop up the burgers into a salad? Maybe with burger topping type veg like tomatoes, gherkins and onions.

Shoegal, yes, I've also slept badly some nights after a fast day. Only a minority of the time, though, and haven't been able to work out what affects it.

I'm in today, and both of us are getting back to it, after about six weeks off in the summer. I am enjoying being back, and am actually feeling so much better than when I was eating much more. Doh! Anyway, all the best to those who are in today. Have a good one!

I'm in today for my 2nd fast of my 2nd week.

Golarne you could quarter the burgers and use them as funny shaped meatballs in a bolognese or chop them fairly finely for a chilli.

Re the sleeping--
I am usually really tired on fast nights and sleep extra well.
More so the longer I've been on this WOE.
Even if I get up to the toilet I go straight back to sleep. :sleepy:
I'm not normally a good sleeper so it's a bonus for me.
I know on some earlier posts there seems to be a big variation on this.
Are you going to bed hungry Shoegal?
Maybe a low cal hot chocolate before bed?
Insomnia is the pits and drains your willpower to keep up the good work with your fasting
Others may have more ideas. :clover:

I'm in today. Tuesdays fast went well after all my doubts so positive today. Liquids until tea time then thought I'd make a miso soup with prawns and veg.
Any ideas how much miso paste you would use to make 1 litre of broth?

Cheers and good luck everyone

I'm fasting today, my normal Thursday. Got lots to do keeping the B&B going and I've already cooked and served 6 full English breakfasts to my guests. Busy days make easy fasts!

This is my second fast day this week. 3 weeks in very slow weight loss but hanging in for long term benefits. Can I ask anyone's advice on what I plan to eat today.
Bfast Soya yoghurt 87 cals Slice of melon approx. 60 cals
Lunch Slimasoup 56 cals
Dinner Prawn Cocktail (low cal mayo) with salad approx. 212 cals
I may have an apple or handful of grapes if hungry later tonight.
As my weightloss has been slow worried my fast days aren't right.
Any advice?
Mons
