@SSure, I should send you our weather. We are going to have a perfect 27C day today, after several cooler days, though it is then warming up and is heading for 38C - the old century! We will be camping near the River Murray by then, so it will be great summer hols weather. :)
Hope you get the results you are aiming for with your recipes! :)
I fasted yesterday with all of you (the day after Christmas). Had no breakfast, a cup a coffee for lunch and some chicken fretata which I cooked for the family and, with them, I had a small glass of red. I had a great result today. Better than last week's fast. May the New Year be easy on all fasters.  :clover:
Well, my "fast" turned into a low carb, 5 hour eating window...definitely more than 500 cal but maybe it will be OK. Will try again on Sun.

Well, @Sassy1 - I have to admit that while the spiced nuts were fine (the spices were bound to the nuts by egg white), the caramelised versions were not as successful nor brittle as they usually are - but 80% humidity is far from optimal for such enterprises and I'm fortunate that they set up at all (particularly as I'd opted for a different technique that involves pre-boiling and soaking the nuts before caramelisation). They're tasty - but I like the thin, translucent coat I normally obtain on a caramelised nut and it didn't happen this time - but I don't know if the responsibility lies with the technique or because of the humidity. I may have to repeat the recipe at a drier time.
Checking in the "morning after," but another successful light day on Friday, to replace my usual Thursday, skipped due to Christmas. A lot of running around...One thing I've found is that once I get to a certain level of hunger (not necessarily primarily physical...), I have to get to something fast and "legal." For example, yesterday I got home in desperate straits (I had "emergency" Lean Think Thin bars in my pocket, but as they aren't very filling for 150cals, prefer not to use them unless cheating is imminent ), and grabbed a low cal soup and had a cup of that (for 120 cals), not bad. That held me till I could put a proper dinner together. In such instances, in the past I've had good intentions, but found myself unable to resist nibbling while cooking; wow, can that ever up your calories in a hurry!
