I am half way through the day fluid fasting. Shortly its time for my home brewed coffee which ought to take me to dinner time and a big bowl of salad. Have to russle up something for DH for dinner so hope I don't get tempted. The fridge contains some tempting treats I will have to ignore.

Am I alone or are there fellow fasters across the globe. May the fast be with you all.

It is overcast now and the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race has kicked off .
Good Luck, the day has barely started here! My next fast day is tomorrow I'm giving myself an extra day's grace. Ignore those treats they'll be just as good tomorrow
Deb
I fasted yesterday. I'll fast again tomorrow, I think.

Have a good one!
Hi@gillymary! I am here with you and just started fasting too. I back you up to leave out too much looking at those lovely meals in the fridge. We had a great Christmas Day, enjoyed and savoured our treats but for once didn't over-eat/drink. I call that success.

It's frosty white this morning. Weather forecast is colder but no snow down here. The gym isn't open, but there's the exercise bike for a quick HIT and I want to continue clearing out the greenhouse which will be spruced up for the spring. Plenty else to enjoy without thinking of food. After good coffee, lemon/herb teas and a bouillon, there's a homemade cream of celery soup ...so tasty at approx 60cals a portion, and a prawn salad to finish with.

I hope all Friday fasters have a very good day. :clover:
I have fasted today after enjoying all sorts of Christmas goodies yesterday. :) I wasn't sure if I would fast, but haven't felt too hungry so managed to get to dinner time and had leftover chicken with some fresh veg with the rest of the family - tho I didn't have the French Fries that I made for everyone else - followed by strawberries and blueberries, while the rest of them had leftover Christmas pudding and mince pies (with custard, cream and icecream of course!!)
I have had another fully-occupied day which has helped pass the time, including seeing the last film in The Hobbit trilogy.
Now I just have to resist the evening munchies, a challenge as the house is overflowing with assorted shortbreads and chocolates....
Best wishes to fellow fasters. :clover: :clover:
I too am fasting today. This has probably been the easiest fast I have ever done, possibly because I think I ate enough for two yesterday. ;)
It's nearly time to go to bed so all I have to do it continue to ignore all the treats around me. I remind myself that I can have some tomorrow.
It's Friday so it's one of my usual 4:3 fast days :) This is my 4th year of doing this :) I must say that it makes for an easier holiday season on the digestion than I recall from years prior to fasting.
I am in today, too. Ate and drank sooo much yesterday and looking forward to a fast day. Luckily, I was at a friends's home so I don't have the leftovers and other treats to tempt me. Coffee and miso soup coming up and maybe salmon for dinner.
Good luck all you holiday fasters. :clover:
I'm in today. Had a really reasonable and wonderful week, but feel the need to fast to keep up the habit.
Trying for a modified fast today. We'll be going out later and I know I'll go over 500 calories. No worries. My goal is to eat WAY below TDEE for the next 2 days. My sister arrives for our Christmas celebration on Sunday, so I need a couple low calorie days leading up to that!

Good luck to all fasters today!
Day has barely started here in Ohio at least for me, as I didn't get up till ten am. Christmas wears me out. Fun reading posts from people who are about to go to bed already! Obviously they made it through the day just fine!

Figured this would be the best day for fasting after eating too much yesterday, I was actually looking forward to the regained control. :-)

Also so much stuff and wrappings and boxes and gifts to clean up from yesterday, I should stay busy enough to not even think about food. Besides which can't imagine when I'd get hungry after yesterday... Ah. So much food.
I'm going to attempt to fast today as well. We have so much yummy food in the house, but I'll try my best.
ok I'm grabbing all the yummy treats I want for tomorrow and running my share down to the deep freezer so my kids won't eat them all today. The thought of them eating them all before me was driving me nuts.
Well, that proved to be one of my easiest fast days ever! The hunger pangs never really developed. Maybe because I was so full of food from the day before....
I hope everyone else also managed their day okay. :) Best wishes for the next fast (Monday??)

Yes, thank you - @Sassy1 my day was peaceful in so far as food and appetite were concerned. And my next, regular scheduled 4:3 day is Monday :)

Today was a weird day to have chosen to experiment with various recipes for candied or spiced nuts - the weather's so damp that I can't tell if some of the items haven't set up correctly because of a flaw in my technique or just because the atmosphere is so damp. These recipes seem to be as finicky as meringues in so far as needing appropriate conditions. :)
