Fasting today 26th July
25 Jul 2013, 23:43
Although it is officially Friday here in the UK. I am actually off to bed as its only just after midnight. So to those of you already fasting, which ever part of the world it is (I can't think which way round it would be at this time of the night) good luck, and those of us yet to do so, see you in the morning.

P.S. I may try a liquid fast today/tomorrow as I only have hubby at home, (no kids) so I won't be faced with having to cook dinner.

I'm in. I think. It feels like a struggle already. The gym has made it worse. I do 4:3, and I keep getting knocked out of my usual pattern of M W Sat. Things keep coming up on Sat. Well now something has come up on Fri, too. I should just 5:2 this week, but I'm too stubborn for that. If I just make it through today I'll have the weekend off and that will be brilliant!

(Apologies for the tour through the inside of my brain and its chaos of churning thoughts)

I'm in today - don't normally have to do a Friday fast either so we'll see how it goes and I'll keep to water and tea if I can except for the coffee with milk I've just had.

Friday dinnertime may be difficult as usually it signals start of the weekend for me with nice food and maybe a glass of wine, but not today; might see if we can go out and do something for the evening to distract from food.

I'm here too
Breakfast = 150g strawberries (50 cals)
Lunch = small tin of tuna on 2 Ryvita (159 cals)
Dinner = King prawn linguine ready meal (275 cals)
Total for day = 484 cals
I can't do all day with no food yet!!

I'm in for a half fast - no breakfast - lunch, but a regular dinner... this is my 3rd fast this week - so taking it easy, seeing how it goes. I don't normally do M-W-F, but may try to do this next week too. Feels a little faster (ha!) - still doable.

I wore my super tight jeans today, and they didn't cut me in half like they usually do! In fact there was just a little red line across my tum, and not the deep dark red one that was there last time I wore them! :)

Good :clover: today everyone!

I'm here but as I am going to be in London with my daughter for an exhibition this evening, we might go to eat something afterwards, so although I will try for a 500 cal meal, I might just have to do my best :)

Sue Q, count it as a 16:8, I do when fast days go pear shaped. I seem to be sliding into a natural 16:8 lifestyle anyway as I no longer have breakfast and can quite happily miss lunch or have a delayed lunch most days too.

I'm in although my OH is out because he forgot & ate breakfast!!
So far two cups of coffee with milk that I count in my calories for the day so then nothing but water until eating my M&S fuller longer Thai Chicken Curry for dinner & my OH will eat something similar to save me from cooking today. Doing washing today to try & get it dry on the line before the torrential downpour & thunderstorms coming tomorrow. But very pleased with myself because I managed to shorten the sleeves of a new tailored jacket so just going to press that & do other ironing to get it out of the way before the weekend. Such a shame the lovely weather is going AWOL :frown:
Have a good fast day everyone

Sounds very similar to what I'll probably do. I fasted mon & weds and feel like I've really made progress this week so even though I'll probably not stick strictly to 500 cals (I have some goats cheese just at the point of perfection in the fridge and some homemade rosemary bread that will need using) I will attempt to keep it as a 'low' day. I have noticed though that when I have said this to myself in the past I have given and it's just ended up as a normal day. I won't beat myself up if that happens but given it's now mid morning I should be able to at least go until lunchtime!

I am in today as well after a stormy night and very little sleep because of it. There was a big storm last night and I mean BIG. The thunder woke me up and there were lightnings every 30 seconds. It lasted for nearly 2 hours so you can imagine it was impossible to sleep...

Tonight I think I'll have tuna steak with a big salad
