Hello Debs I am also in for my third fast of the week so trying 4:3ing. I hope your day gets better but it's still a reduction in daily calories even if you eat a little more today. I will just be on coffee & water until supper & I am also trying to up my exercise so I will follow a new Jane Fonda low impact walking aerobic DVD & then keep busy with ironing.
I'm fasting today too. In fact this will be my third fast of the week and therefore my first attempt at 4:3 gulp! Really hope I can complete it today.
Hi everyone
I'm in today with my second fast. Seems to be going well. I've just hit non-lunchtime with only a few rumblings.
Good luck to everyone fasting today and hope you all have a good weekend.

Hi everybody,

Just curious. How did everyone go? I'm on my second fast day this week and i think I'm a bit over, so I went on the stationary bike for 20 minutes. Is there anything about how hard you should/can workout on fast days to maximise weight loss, metabolism etc? Thanks in advance.
I'm doing my second fast of the week and it's another easy one. I feel properly in the zone again after a christmas of too much everything. I'm making garlic and cauliflower soup, I hope it turns out as yummy as everyone said it is.
@Newly40 working out on a fast day is up to you. Some love it some hate it. Just listen to you're body and don't push it too hard. Hope this helps.
Dee :)

That's not too bad Debs - how did the rest of the fast go? If it worked out well, YAY.

If it didn't work out so well then don't beat yourself up, there is always tomorrow. Sometimes it simply doesn't work, and we just have to listen to our bodies and chalk it up to experience :geek:
I'm back and fasting today

I just out a chicken breast with chopped tomatoes and onions in my slow cooker, that's what I'll be noshing on for today - gonna stick with the tried and tested "eat most of the calories at lunch" then a cup or three of miso soup the rest of the day (thanks for that suggestion guys)
My wife & I celebrating our second fast of the year, rest of our life to look forward to.
I'm in! Second fast of the week for me, too, although I have also cut out breakfast a couple of times this week - a major breakthrough for me, as I am really a breakfast person. Looking forward to dinner tonight, although i don't know what it will be yet! Until then, only black tea for me - and keeping busy cleaning windows!

Good luck to all who are fasting today. Stay strong! Onwards and downwards!
Hi all! All this chat about Bovril and Miso soup instead of a meal: firstly, the bovril. What do you use, and from where? Do Oxo stock cubes do the same thing? As for Miso soup, can you buy that readily prepared in Sainsburys or the like? Thanks! xx
I use a Knorr stock cube - the one Marco Pierre White advertises - and it's very tasty. Seems to deal with any savoury cravings.
Hi Debs & all -
I'm in for today, second fast of the week, so far, so good. I wanted to get a second day in this week and will go back to Mon/Thur next week when I go back to work. I'm finding a quart of fresh warm lemon water makes getting through my fasts - dare I say - easy? TODAY, I feel like my appetite is turned off. Hoping it stays ;)
Have a great day everyone, and a good weekend.
Glad it's going well for you MLCDz! :)
I had a cup of tea this morning, lots of water and sparkling water, and just had half an Oxo chicken stock cube in hot water... and I feel great! How is that possible after being awake and active for 8 hours and running on empty?! How satisfying. Only my 2nd day of fasting as well! Fingers crossed this'll be how I feel most times! x
Well done everyone. I was going to do 4.3 this week but am really tired....damn anaesthetic, surely it's gone by now, been 5 weeks now. Anyhow, got 2 good fasts in and I will try again next week. I will weigh in sat morning.
Glad you are on the mend Caroline!
It is nearly supper time after my first week of 4:3 & I haven't felt hungry but that may be because I did some aerobic exercise this afternoon. I feel really encouraged to do another 4:3 next week but my weigh in tomorrow morning will show if it has helped my weight loss
I hope everyone had a good fast today particularly to all the newbies Well done! :clover:
