Hi fast friends, I am in today. And what an auspicious day this is - the anniversary of the forum. Feels meant to be!

I am typically a Mon/Thur faster. Well, typically up until the holidays last month... but that's another story. Trying to get back into it strong in the new year. Yesterday's fast was derailed by impromptu breakfast "date" with hubby coming off the late shift.

Lots of challenges ahead in 2014, lots of change. So I'm committed to starting the year off right and solid in terms of my fasting so at least I'll have that foundation and control to face whatever else comes my way!

Happy new year to you all! It's early days yet, plenty of time to make this the year we win the weight war (for those of us in it for the weight loss)

Not sure how I am going to go today as I have been doing fasting every other day since the 2nd as I have been away working so have no distractions here. So far it has gone ok apart from one day when I caved in slightly and ate a little more in the evening than I should have done, maybe 800 cals? Today seems to be quite hard and I am struggling and it is only 9am. I have just had a mug of strong coffee to see if that distracts me. I do have emergency food supplies with me, nuts, apple etc. but will hold out as long as I can!!

A few thoughts I've read about.

Anyone else drinking green tea?

Eat only 4/5 spoonfuls at a time.

Cucumber water....honest....
bought a packet of green tea with lemon yesterday but have yet to give it a try!
Been a hard slog today but I've made it through!

@Debs just seen your post. I hope you aren't frustrated with yourself, tomorrow is another day and we're only human (and only women!!). We deserve to give into temptation every now and again, so I hope you enjoyed it not regretted it :)

I managed to wait til dinner to eat, and that meant I had a healthy dinner and also a mince pie, still under my recommended amount (570) :D so hope that still counts.. xx
