Newbie here!

This is my fourth fast and I have a stinking cold :cry:

On the plus side no appetite so should be a breeze I hope haha.

My OH & I are in with fluids only until supper this evening. I am going to a day Adult Ed class this morning so I am hoping that I won't be heard stomach rumbling :lol:
My weight loss has slowed down so really hoping hat my weigh in tomorrow will show a loss.
Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum so please bare with me!ha

My starting weight 60kg

I started to follow the 5:2 to support my father in law (who has done numerous diets but unfortunately he has not managed to keep the weight off) I thought if I was doing the diet with him it would keep him motivated & stick on track.
We have been doing the diet for 4weeks now & my father in law has lost 10lbs :) I am so happy for him & I have noticed a HUGE difference in his attitude towards food (not just the weight loss)

For me, well...I haven't lost any weight & I promise I am sticking to the 500cals on fast days! What my thoughts about this is the fact I have increased my exercise quite a bit & muscle weighs more than fat?! I have most definitely noticed changes to my body shape, my stomach doesn't look as bloated & I do feel so much better in clothes. I have also cut down portion sizes due to the fact I feel fuller quicker.
Has anyone else experienced this? I feel I shouldn't look at my weight & maybe concentrate on how I feel??!!
Your experiences/comments would be greatly appreciated x

Well done to your father-in-law Natalie! Keep going it will catch up soon. Inches off is great.

Half way there now. Just had some soup. Busy morning doing food shop! Not ideal when fasting but we have to eat on the other days :)

Going for a walk soon before school pick up.

I'm in today, my third fast this week. Stepping it up as getting close to a mini goal. I prefer to fast on a Friday believe it or not as it keeps me in check just before the weekend of relaxed eating and drinking. So, no food from dinner last night till dinner tonight which is veg soup with flaked chicken thigh meat added. Or maybe moogies fast day fry up, as we have loads of eggs from our chooks to eat up. Will see what I fancy later.
Well, hello all. This is my first ever fast day. Had a couple of boiled eggs for breakfast and don't fancy lunch - which will leave plenty of calories left for dinner! Have a good weekend - I'm looking forward to making this a part of my normal life.
Welcome pipeman. Hope your first day has gone well. You will find lots of encouragement and useful hints /advice as needed.
Most of us find it is a great way to lose weight and get healthier.

Hello fasting friends! I'm in for my 1/2 fast today... not eating until tonight & it should be filled with calories as I'm attending a happy hour b-day, so :cake: ! All the more determined not to eat until we meet for merriment!

Hi all, I'm in today. 3rd fastday for me and my stomach is really telling me about it, it's not shut up since lunch time. Only have to wait for DD to get home, then I'll silence it with a salad, yum! can't wait!!!

I did it...wasn't sure if I could manage a 3rd but hey ho...and strangely enough I am eating later than normal...
Hey all! Today is my fist day on this diet, and happens to be my first fast day. Feeling OK so far. The hardest part is cooking for family and serving food. No dizziness, no crazy mood, no nothing so far. I decided to have just one meal at around 4:00 pm, so looking forward to that. I am glad to know that others are fasting today as well! Be strong we can do it!
