Fasting today Friday 4th July

I'm sure there won't be many of you joining from the States today....Happy 4th July!!!
I however am in for my first fast in a long time and my first ever Friday fast.
I've psyched myself up for it and I'm ready to go.
Thanks to everyone who replied to my post yesterday with words of encouragement. You really helped to motivate me.
I have started the day with green tea and I'll go as long as I can before having a miso soup.

I ended up not fasting on Thursday, had a regular feast day & then some, so even tho its the 4th, my family doesn't have plans for a BBQ or anything, so I'm going to do it today, then enjoy the rest of the weekend. Good luck to everyone else fasting today & Happy July 4th to my fellow Americans!
I'm in. This is probably my first real fast for 3 months. I've been at target weight for over 10 months now & have recently been able to maintain using the occasional 16/8 BUT I've got an extra 300gm that went on about a fortnight ago & just won't budge so I'll show'em!!
Great to have some fellow fasters today.
I made it until 2pm before having a miso soup and that was more because I was freezing cold rather than struggling with hunger.
I'm finding it pretty easy today and am so pleased to be getting back on track.
Third fast for me this week though I probably wont manage to keep to 500 cals as family are arriving for the weekend tonight, though I will try my best.
I'm here too. Ever hopeful and doing my best. Babysitting 18 mth old granddaughter, charming full time job. My mind is off food.....tonight though, prawn stir fry all spicy. Lovely. Good work everyone!
I'm in and for the first time in months and months, I START a fast day under 240lbs. So I have high hop[es for tomorrows weigh in.
I'm joining you today on my third fast of the week! So far 4:3ing & 16:8ing on other days seem to be keeping me losing weight but not as much as I would like. I'm also exercising more frequently on my exercise bike getting hot & breathless with a modified HIT & Jane Fonda's DVD for toning up wrinklies like me :grin:

Day 3 of my fast this week (4:3) and the hardest one yet, I don't know if the weather had anything to do with it as its so muggy here that you don't feel like doing too much and so I am thinking about food too much, Have also been on the forum on and off all day which also makes me think of food!
Therefore I am going to start preparing dinner now (18.45) although normally I try to have my one meal as late as possible so I don't want to pick for the rest of the night!
I also only drink water or fruit tea to really rest my digestion.
I also should only have protein today, but i could not be bothered to go shopping so I will have a ham/feta salad, but at least no white carbs!

I'm in today for the 3rd and last fast of the week. Been an easy fast today, been busy. Been to daughters new school to sort books out and very pleased to say she's in the top set. I didn't doubt she would be but you never know. One very happy mum here. :)
I just finished my third fast this week, I have been fasting but I haven't been posting. I'm still really enjoying 4:3 and it's still working out positively for me :)
Save me, someone save me! The Sugar Puffs are calling and I don't know how long I can resist for.
Sorry Julieathome (sorry I'm not sure how to tag), I didn't see this in time as it was the middle of the night. Hope you managed to stay strong!! If not, there's always next time.
I'm very impressed by everyine on 4:3. I've never attempted it as I usually find my 2nd fast of the week much harder.
Well done Friday fasters. It's Saturday now for me so I'm planning some delish but sensible meals :-)
