Well, good luck everyone. Hope your fasting day goes well, especially Rachel, who is fasting for the very first time today!

We're off to Canada and Alaska in three weeks and are packing the woolies!!
I started the day off with good intentions and managed to fast until around midday, then I had a cup of tea and some coffee café, and the rest is history
Didn't help with my OH coming home with a fresh loaf of Sourdough bread for the bakery.
I did manage a 30 min walk this morning, so that is my good thing off my list, but I think the weight has been slowly creeping up this week.
The cold weather doesn't help my mood, I will have to change something, very soon!!
cheers
Maggie
Good luck everyone
Well done on the 30 min walk

How you manage fast days is whatever works for you. However, it does seem to be common experience that eating anything unleashes the "hunger monster", so many of us put off eating for as long as possible, and just drunk lots and keep busy - and maybe have a broth such as miso soup if really can't hold out til dinner. And there is also the benefit of having a longer period with no food consumed.
But, as I said, each of us finds what works best for us. When I started, I did have 3 small meals a day, but now enjoy a 2-course dinner. Overall, fasting does get easier with practice, tho we all have our days when fasting is difficult.
Very best wishes with it all!
I did 5:2 for few weeks last year and was pleased with progress. Only downside was bad headache/poor sleep at night which I think is sugar deprivation. So this time I am aiming to have something like a yogurt at bedtime. So far so good....
