Fasting today - May Day 2014
30 Apr 2014, 21:18
Good morning!

I am up earlier than I intended, so expected that I would be first to post re fasting today. I know I will be joined by lots of you once your day starts. :)

Today is our first fine day in a few, after having a wonderful amount of much needed rain. So back into the garden for me. :D I find gardening an excellent distraction!

I am hoping that this may be my last regular Thursday fast as I am trying to move into 6:1, but want to get just under goal weight before I do (nearly there - must update my progress tracker... And add in my solstice challenge...).

Happy fasting everyone. :)
Good morning @Sassy1 it's Thursday and I am joining you.

Enjoy your time in the garden today, it sounds lovely. Meeting you at the recent meet-up here in Melbs you look absolutely fabulous and well done for changing to 6:1!

After not exercising for a couple of days as I have been covered in hives (an allergic reaction to a drug I was taking for the ulcer) I am hoping to get back to a walk today, if not, I will spend time on the bike or Wii fit.

Have a wonderful day/night everybody

cheers
Maggie
@Sassy1 I'm in too today, a glorious day here which will be filled with groceries, ironing and filing. At least I can look outside and sigh
Well done on your weight loss Sassy. I think mine is edging down again but shh don't want to scare it back up
@Maggiee those hives must be awful , hope they go away soon.
I will be-it is still April here!
Morning all, I'm in today in Melbourne too. Very busy day at work ahead which I always find makes it easier. I have had the worst TOTM I've had in a long time this week, so this has been my first fast which has made me feel really guilty as it's the first week I have missed one. Maybe I can fit one more in tomorrow or over the weekend but I doubt it - I like to treat myself on days off.
I'm sure I'll get over it though... onwards and upwards! Last week I weighed in at the lowest I have been since I started 5:2 in October so still feeling motivated. Another 4 ish kilos to go...
Well it's now officially May and the first fast of the month! I' m in!

Good luck everyone :like: :clover: :victory:
Good morning all. I am in today. I last fasted on Sunday which feels like forever ago. I ate a lot while I was away and I did appreciate being able to do so. One night we went to a fabulous Nepali restaurant, another day Italian. Yesterday I had pastries for breakfast and we had a picnic by a lake in wild central Tasmania. It was all gorgeous. Now I am fasting and have absolutely no sense of deprivation. I am having my black coffee now and then I'm going to walk up to the top of the hill I can see outside my window. Hopefully I will do some gardening today too. i want to construct a trellis for snow peas and get them in. Also broad beans. It's not sunny here. But it's not raining. Have a good day everyone.
Will be in in the morning. Run rabbit x 3 for 5/1.

Enjoy this beautiful fasting day, everyone.
@Sallyo we've already got the broad beans and snow peas in. Will need to stake them very soon. The globe and Jerusalem artichokes are also growing like crazy.
I wish I had a may pole to dance around.

I'm fasting today, the second of the week after a really good one on Tuesday. I'm thinking of having an omelet with loads of veggies for dinner tonight. In the meantime, coffee coffee coffee
Fasting today - first time since I fell off the bandwagon last year. I had a coffee this morning and am going to try and stick to green tea for the rest of the day, maybe a packet soup if I feel I need it tonight. Wish me luck!!
Attempting to fast today, although the waft of warm apple strudel from a skinny Frenchwoman's desk isn't helping the cause!
Good luck fredi!
good luck Fredi. and Wineoclock, I'm behind in the garden, i know. I blame the election. Also I had to finish with the tomatoes before I could put them in. We have limited garden beds. Just trying liquorice tea which I first read about here on the forum. Very nice.
Mid arvo here and fasting. Hungry hungry hungry, think it's time for a cuppa. I've been a lot hungrier on fasts recently. Wonder if it's because of all the chocolate eaten meaning I'm filling up on that and not getting enough nutrition? I also haven't lost any weight in ages.
Lunchtime here katamac, and the smells wafting from the kitchen are torture! I had a coffee with creme fraiche earlier and am now trying not to think about further food
