A lovely Monday morning here in Melbourne - 34Deg expected (93F).
A start to a new week, and a fast day for me. Lunch of veggie salad (cauli, beetroot, tomato), and dinner of small piece of poached chicken and more veg.
Good luck to everyone today, especially those who are just starting their second week of 5:2!
cheers
First fast of the year for me. I was going to wait till visitors were gone but the scales were very unkind this morning. Nothing but water, tea, black coffee and chewing gum till 6pm.
Back to work today and to fasting. Scales show the weight I lost during month of Xmas challenge is right back.
good luck all
I'm in. Last Wednesday when I counted all my calories I ended up with over 700. That was mostly 'breakouts' - like sesame wheat biscuits, squares of dark chocolate, things i tend to discount, ('they don't count'). So today I am trying to be a lot more strict. I have had apricots and raspberries with yogurt for breakfast, but was shocked to see how many calories are in Farmers Union Greek Style yogurt. I've already counted up 170 calories! It's ham and salad for dinner - grated beetroot and cabbage - very low calorie. And ham is fairly safe. I'll just have to watch those extras which creep in. I think I'll have a salad for lunch, may be even 70 calories in a hard boiled egg. I want to avoid that 'I-could-eat-a-horse-and-chase-the-rider' feeling which is what results in uncontrolled breakouts. I'm going to report on here to keep me honest.
Hi @Sallyo
Good to see you. Yes - I had a weekend of things "creeping in" - some Camembert comes to mind!
The small loss I made last week was balanced out by the goodies over the weekend, so no net loss over the week, but at least the scales didn't go up!

- I have found the same! I love yogurt on non-fast days, but I am now using cottage cheese on fast days. Per 100g 85 for cottage cheese V 134 for Farmers greek yogurt. I use Bulla brand and find it nice and creamy. I have it with some berries for breakfast and /or as dessert if calories allow. I also put it on veggies - my lunch of cauli and beetroot has 25g of cottage cheese as a dressing.

Good luck with your day :clover:
Thanks for that tip,@MerryMelb. I have just had lunch of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, green beans and an egg. I'll call it 100 calories. so I'm up to 270 calories. Not many left for dinner, which will be early!
I'm in today. I did really well last week but put 1kg back on over the weekend due to (a) yummy spicemen shepherds pie & (b) Galette des Rois http://www.thelocal.fr/20160105/the-galette-des-rois
Nothing to eat for me until around 19h30 (although I do take lunch to wirk so that I have a choice!)
Morning all  It's my first fast of the year as well  last week I put off the first fast, and it set me up all wrong for the whole week. So I have made sure that I have lots to do today to keep me busy so that I can start the week off on track! I have a modified curry using leftovers from last night's roast, with slim rice, to look forward to tonight :victory:
Oh @AnnieD! That galette looks wonderful - though hard to read about on a fast day!
Good luck with your fast!
I'm in today. Good luck everyone :clover:
Hi @Sallyo - I hope you made it to dinner time :clover:
Kitchen is closed, just a cup of tea later.

Vale David Bowie - a wonderful artist and musician - he leaves lasting memories for so many.
I'm in today as well. I over carbed at the weekend - I still have so much left over from Christmas, chocolate, biscuits, wine, and if I know it is in the house I will eat it. I should know better because it leaves me feeling yukky inside. At least I have the next 4 days of clean eating before I weigh in again on Friday. Today is my day off so I have lots of housework to do then I'll have a baby bell cheese with an apple and go to the gym. This afternoon I plan to do some mindful crafting and then it will be stir fry for dinner. There is a programme on tv tonight, channel 5 at 8pm called How to Lose Weight Well. I saw the trailer and it will be looking at different diets and you see one person saying she is starving and I wonder if that is IF. I will watch with my usual scepticism.
H all, I'm in today too. Hot water with lemon first thing this morning, then 1 coffee and 1 teas so far. I have my usual soup for lunch then egg stir fry for dinner lined up. Like others, I am trying to go back to counting my 500 calories mor strictly, as before christmas some of my 500 calorie days were heading up towards 700 cals and beyond! I'm also trying to be better about my water and salt intake, as before christmas I started getting terrible headaches on fasting days. Last week seemed better though, (I added in 2 mugs of hot water and lemon, one at each end of the day) so I will keep an eye on it!

:clover: :clover: to all
Good morning (afternoon for many of you!) I'm in today. I was also over a little on last week's fast days too, probably close to 700 calories. So I'm trying to be better too. I really need to try to go until dinner without eating. I do have a 60 cal soup to bring with me to work if I'm desperate! I was only down .2 lbs. this morning which, was a little disappointing, but at least it's in the right direction!

Good luck everyone!
I'm back to my normal regime so fasting as usual for a Monday. Only managed one fast last week after a New Year break. No change for me since my late weigh in last Thursday. Looking back at my tracker I always seem to do better in the first half of the year so hope to make some downward progress over the next few weeks/months
