First fast of the week after suddenly weighing 4kg above my usual maintenance weight. It's been a while since I didn't eat more than 500 cal a day but now I am committed. Anyone joining me today?
I'll join you @Wmr309. Another beautiful spring day here, only spoiled by my Husband cooking toast this morning :frown: :grin:
I'm in too and happy to fast after a lovely lunch out yesterday at a Chinese restaurant and leftoversfor dinner last night.

I'm in @Wmr309. Ready for it. It's salmon and bok choy for dinner tonight. Just made a 'keep busy' list to distract myself.
Struggling: breaking out into dry biscuits and almonds., butter and vegemite. Meanwhile, news just in, a leadership spill in the Australian Liberal Party. I will try to stay out of the kitchen until 5.30pm.

Yes, this news wants me to open a bottle of wine and watch it all unfold on TV but then I realise I am finally fasting again and don't want to ruin my day (of feeling very hungry).
I'm fasting too today. I'll have some porridge later on this morning and a bowl of tomato bread soup later in the afternoon. This is my first fast day when I am not at work and I liked the idea of a 'to do' list.

Off out for a walk right now.
Yes I'm in fasting today after two weeks of not fasting at all and eating way too many calories everyday. 3kgs up and feeling very unhealthy so am glad to be fasting today. Will be having chicken and veg tonight....... its cold today so I can't go 36 hours on liquids only.
Popping in to wish Monday fasters a good day :clover: I'm swapping my usual Monday to Tuesday this week.
I'm in, my usual Monday busy day, I have English lesson in the afternoon (every week these 3 weeks, because I'm taking an exam at the end of the September). And then I'm going to see and try some nice clothes I ordered to the shop nearby.

The dinner will be gazpacho and sugar snap peas.
I'm also fasting today - just had my usual salad lunch. I allow myself a jar of crunchy peanut butter per month and there was BOGOF offer at the local supermarket so I duly stocked up and now have enough for Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan. I 've already had my September quota and it seems a long way until 1st October! I have changed my cravings from chocolate to peanut butter since I started 5:2 so this is going to be a real test of my willpower!

19:35 hrs UPDATE: I have just put the jars of peanut butter on the top shelf of one of the kitchen cupboards - have to get out the step ladder to reach them so that may help!
A miserable damp day and 5:2 has been a real struggle. Family gone, loads of washing which will have to dry indoors. Kept busy clearing up and cleaning down but would have loved a good savoury. Cold chicken and spinach tonight and I now feel FULL, hope it lasts all evening.
Another helping of Michael Mosley on BBC2 tonight so I will sit, relax and enjoy that.
I've been fasting today too. Had Gnocchi for dinner with Spinach and carrot. Been busy today far to wet to go running so did my DVD and some stepper work instead.
Goodness, what we wouldn't give here in Nevada and California (and everywhere in the Western US) to have some cold, wet days! Wildfires are burning up north of San Francisco and we could do with about 10 years of wet. :curse:
I'm heartened, though, by everyone's plans for fasting today. I'm going to do a hal-fasst today as I fasted yesterday and plan to again tomorrow--way to much vacay celebration this summer, in cooler places, thank goodness! :grin: So my plan is it to be close to a fast but not tooooo close. I feel better already after yesterday's fast. I want to drop 10 lbs., to well below what I had established as my maintenance weight. I think a bit leaner would be better health-wise.
So, back on the road again! Nice to know I'm sharing it with such nice travel companions! :wink:
I'm in today, have had my coffee/tea/fiber drink, broth in a bit, snack after work and dinner 9pmish.
