And I'm in today. Finally, all the excitement has passed. In the house, all unpacked including the scales, Beloved off away for a cpiple of days work.
Up slightly since last excise, which is to be expected. Motivation high. Lots of incidental exercise building up, decorating to be done, planning lots of lovely things. Life is good and I need to be fit and healthy to make the most of it, so fasting is back on track.
Having proper sat sun weekends now has meant a rethink of the plan. Decided on Mon and Wed as true fasts and Fri as fast til tea time and see how it goes.
despite the slight increase, i've stayed at a similar weight for absolutely ages, so this is how maintenance will look. Hope tonshift the wee bit extra, but may stay here due to muscle gain/ exercise.
I'll just get on with it.
Good luck fellow fasters :clover:
Just joined this forum and very happy to find like minded people! I've been following the 16:8 for a few months now but found I'm leaning towards binging before my 8 hours is up. Fasted for the first time on Saturday and found it was way easier. I wasn't constantly thinking about food! Then when the mid-day fast meal came I didn't bunge; ate slowly and felt pretty good. I'm going to try the 4:3. Today is fast day #2 and so far so good. The only thing is I did get quite a headache by the end of the fast on Sat. but I've read that the headaches will fade. Lots of water and electrolytes too.
Happy Monday everyone! !
I'm in for today (I also did a fast on Saturday, but wasn't about to record it).

@Christy39, hello and welcome, May I suggest that you pop into the introducing yourself forum. Just give our members a chance to welcome you, and you will get a warm one I promise. Would hate you to be overlooked during this important transition into fasting.
I'm in for my regular Monday fastday. Always my fave
I did good today ! Very proud of me
Can't wait to see the scale tomorrow !

Just ate cucumbers, and beetroot, fab' !
I'm in as always on Monday. Just after 11am here, having my pot o' green tea, will have fiber and broth later, then dinner 9pm ish. Maybe some berries and yogurt if I feel too nibbly after work. Hmm...just realized I need cucumber...drop by the store after work!

My friend should be by sometime; he's finding his rhythm; pretty much the opposite of mine, he eats breakfast and lunch, not really any dinner. I'm glad he's realizing that "my" way of 5:2ing isn't the only way (told him that, but...). It's one reason I really dislike the whole "fast" thing; gives people the wrong idea.

We have been having really gorgeous weather for June in Seattle (usually known as "Juneuary"), seems more like mid-July. Fortunately, not so hot one can't sleep; hardly anyone has AC here, so... Got out for a skate yesterday. Had a workshop on Saturday, so missed my usual dance then, but will go this coming weekend. Need to get back to the daily walking.
Checking in late to say that I'm in (have been in?) today. Coffee for breakfast, a bit of salty cup-a-soup for lunch/snack and stir-fry for dinner. The early part of the day was a bit rough, I think do to my having had sugar this past weekend and being hungry for more. The afternoon was easier, less cravings and busy mowing the lawn.
Yesterday went really really well, which is, after 3 months without any fast is a good surprise. I am not even hungry this morning !
I had just the leeks and prawn soup yesterday, with 2 coffees and plenty of water. Didn't have any sides effets, not even cold, which I used to be all the time

It really was a great day
An interesting fast for me...
managed all day then my poached eggs on toast and was still hungry. Left it an hour then sadly hit the biscuit tin. And the nutella...
Not like me at all. It was the first 'proper' fast for a while and, to be honest, I probably didn't got over 600 cals. Still counting it as a success.
And I was SO COLD! This is a new one for me! Was wrapped up in a quilt and still chittering!
Need to get hot drinks in as I can't drink the amount of coffee I would need to heat me up without spinning around the lights
Still learning after nearly three years!
