Moien from a very sunny Luxembourg!
Can't believe that I'm the first one posting today. So, started last week in earnest and by the end of the day had fallen down the stairs, sprained my ankle, three ambulances came to rescue me plus the on call doctor, blues and twos all the way to the Central hospital, X-ray and confirmation that not broken, a long wait for a coincidental MRI re disc problem and home again to our two floors up apartment with a stinking headache.
Hubby and I both had feverish colds and coughs all week, so by and all, fasting and nutrition very low on agenda. Not all bad, I still lost a couple hundred grammes!
Starting again today, limping round the apartment but no longer needing crutches, hurrah. Might even try going upstairs again.
Gazpacho for breakfast at 110 cals for 250 ml.
Bon chance everyone
Ooh that sounds painful, hope you feel better soonest <hugs>
Fasting today too, trying for 24 hours before eating my 400-500 calories then nothing until 10am on Wednesday.
Good luck folks :0)
Hi all,
I'm in today too. I'm stupidly busy at work (doing all my own work as well as covering a colleague's medical leave) so hopefully that will make the day go quickly.

Both fasts last week were a real struggle with side effects - headaches, nausea, finding it hard to concentrate, insomnia etc. I was really careful to keep my water and salt intake sensible too, and ate my 450-500 cals as normal so I was annoyed that I felt so awful. I never used to get these issues, they are things you hear more often from new fasters but for me they seem to be getting gradually worse as the weeks go by! This week I don't have time to feel ill so I will just eat normally and call it a fasting holiday if I start to feel funny.

:clover: :clover: to all!
I'm in - after a 'patchy' weekend as far as food consumption goes. We had friends round for drinks on Saturday, which also involved 'nibbles' - lots of nibbles! Then yesterday, I had the most idle day - ever- which involved wall to wall 'grazing' of really rubbishy foods and sitting in front of the TV for most of my waking hours - something that I never do!
However, that was then and this is now, so the Monday fast is going fine. I am keeping busy with computer-y things - very good for keeping fingers out of food containers - and I am planning to take the dog for a walk very soon, while the sun is shining.
Sorry to hear about the fall, @Hellengerin. Sometimes sprains can be more painful than an actual fracture, but I hope that you feel better soon.
Keeping busy on a fast day is a very good thing, @fancyacuppa, and I hope that today you don't have any horrible side effects.
@Azureblue, that sounds like really hard-core fasting! Are you really only eating once between now and Wednesday morning? Back to back fasts seem really difficult to me and don't think that I would ever even contemplate trying one. I'm much too much of a softie and so enjoy my breakfast after a fast day! :starving:
:clover: Well, good luck to us all. Stay strong! :clover:
I'm in too, we have public holiday today, so I'm at home and I'm reading an interesting book about English etymology. Also, I have an article waiting for me to write.
I'm also fasting - bulgur wheat and herrimg for lunch and another portion later on.

I'm going to have a nap now as I was up at 4.30 to watch the moon and have been feeling tired all day.
@StowgateResident - no me neither, I'm an idiot! I meant Tuesday, tired from moon watching too :0)
I am in today. Last week I fasted on Friday as I worked from home, which in a way was challenging, but I kept myself busy in my home office and knew I had a big weekend ahead. The weekend involved many drinks and eats so am ready to repair today!

Aim is to keep busy at work and then head home for a relaxing read and hopefully early bedtime.
Oh my, such a full on day, but I survived! I'm only pledging now at 22:45. I enjoyed a delicious soup at lunchtime, 190 cals and I'm planning to fall into bed Very soon.
Handing the happy fasting batten to our friends out east. Wishing you well :clover: :victory:
I'm in, just late getting online, very busy with work. Not quite 5pm here, just now having my broth; will do usual snack and dinner lateish (9ish or so). Lately I've had some issues staying within 500 on the second fast of the week (Thursday); think it's mental, so I'll just make up a menu ahead of time so my tricky mind can't fudge and overeat.
A bit of a hiccup to finish my fast day! I was too short of time to eat my chicken casserole before my evening meeting so went there having eaten nothing since the previous evening. I was confronted by some beautiful, WI-baked cakes and ate not one but two pieces  ! On my return home, I ate the casserole and then my husband opened salted cashew nuts and I found myself eating a couple (maybe three  !) handfuls of them.
I am disappointed with myself because this is very unlike me, on a fast day at least, and a little forward planning and will-power would have made this a successful fast, instead of a poor one. I hope that the rest of you had/have a better day than me!
