Let me join you today. I haven't eaten since yesterday evening 8:30 pm and it's 10:15 am here. I am getting a bit hungry. I brought a light salad lunch to work today. And for dinner just a small bite of whatever I'm going to prepare for the kids. Probably some vegetable stew, I guess.

Good luck all today!
@Woca if you can hang on til 12.30 you will have done the magic 16 hour fast. There is lots on the forum about minimum 16 hour fasts being a great way to start burning fat, not easy so early on for you perhaps but worth thinking about for another day.

So if I don't eat from say 9.pm until say 1pm the next day, except for tea and coffee, that's the deal?
Hi @Sallyo, that's how I understand it, after 16 hours you start fat burning.....hope I got that one right. I do 16/8 , or more, every day and don't count calories and have been maintaining at under my target weight for more than a year now. Have a look on the 'eating window' thread.

Trying my first fast in weeks today. I've got lots of work to do and a shopping trip later, and mum's making homemade vegetable soup for dinner which I'm looking forward to. Trying to rely more on intuition than numbers as counting calories and weighing every day haven't worked for me. Felt much better since I've given up my scales!

Good luck everyone, have a good day.
Yes you're still the hour ahead, so on the home straight. (Wish Qld would do daylight savings!) I've just had a cup of tea and feeling fine. Had a long walk earlier. Gardening always a good distraction too. I'm going through til morning now, and I'm looking forward to breakfast already!
I am in today....fingers crossed trying to do 3 this week...x
I'm in today too for my first fast of this week - good luck everyone :clover: :clover:
I'm in today, and really hungry already, got a migraine at the moment so feel quite sick and don't want to eat anyway...small blessing

Not sure how I'll fair when the damn thing disappears tho as I have a massive box of chocolates in the fridge from Mother's Day yesterday.

But I need to smash it today with my fasting buddy @mikesgrl79 and I've done nothing but eat all weekend too :curse:

Hip hip hooray.....today's your Birthday.....have a lovely one and enjoy that sliver of cake @justdee! :rose: :cake:

I'm in today. Had a lovely day yesterday all ways round (inc food!) - so I am ready to get back on track with the first fast of the week.

Hope it goes well for everyone xx

I'm on the fast train today. It won't be quite as long as my normal fast as I didn't stop eating till about 9:00pm last night (Mother's Day chocolates) and I'll be eating dinner about 7:00pm today.
Thanks @Ballerina. I will make it to 12:30. I didn't know about the 16 hours fast. Lunch and dinner today won't be more than 500 calories total and then tomorrow morning a late breakfast and back to my usual diet.

I'm downing water and green tea against the hunger pangs :starving:  one more hour to go.
Well that's another fast day over for me. Time for lights out. Have a good fast day all. Good night :sleepy:
