Morning (afternoon, evening - depending where you are,) all. I'm fasting today. I have a busy day. OH's doctor's appointment in Burnie at 1pm, then off to see Holding the Man tonight at the cinema. This morning I plan to attack another patch of seeding weeds in my front garden. I'm a tad nervous because often physical exertion brings on the hunger. I'll try to do half an hour and if I'm still ok, I'll do another half hour. Bite it off in small chunks. Tonight I am going out for tea before the film with my friends. We are going to the Japanese Bento. I think I'll be able to get something relatively low cal there. The challenge will be going to Burnie and we have to go to this lovely Deli and buy cheese. I know OH will want to have a cake and coffee. I can have the coffee but pass up on the cake.
I'm back on the website. After enjoying decent success with fasting, I stopped keeping track as carefully and I've crept up over the winter, and I didn't realise quite how much until I logged in here and saw my last tracker weight in May was 141 lbs and today's weight is 150! , so its time to get strict again with the fasting. here I go.
Welcome back @nznicole.It's an ongoing proposition this fasting caper. Hope you have a good fast.
I am in from the garden. I did 45 minutes before I started to feel faint. But best, I achieved my goal of removing this particular patch of big grassy seeding weeds. Now the wandering Jew can take over more thoroughly so I'm off to Mr Google to see how I can kill it.
I'm fasting today but not feeling very committed. My weight had lowered since Friday so the incentive is gone but I think I should do it for the perceived health benefits.
Hello everybody. I'm in as well thanks - been to the gym and joined in the water aerobics. Just green tea, water and black coffee so far. Might have a mug of bonox soon.

Spent an hour trimming the roses and pulling out weeds - quite hot out there now.

I hope you are having a lovely day @Sallyo - enjoy your movie tonight and meal out with friends.

Cheers
Maggie.
I'm also fasting today... But my heart really isn't in it. It's become a routine and a habit, so I stick with it as I know there are some good health benefits from it. As for the weight loss factor, I feel seriously defeated. The drop was consistent and encouraging at first (from 71kg to 67kg), then all of a sudden, I jumped back to 69.5kg... In only four days!!! That's 2.5kg in four days!! How is that humanly possible?!? Even camels don't put on that much weight after guzzling down gallons of water in one sitting!!
Don't take too much notice of the scales,@Fastidious. Digital scales especially seem to be all over the place. Go by the tightness of your clothes. I had to laugh at you, routine and habit after only a month, or have you been fasting for longer than you've been on the Forum? My day is going well. We went to the good deli and bought lovely cheese. OH had a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and I had a pumpkin and spinach salad, small, and a long black, so I think I'm safe to have a light low calorie dinner at the Bento. Hello Europeans. Are you awake yet?
Hi @Sallyo and everyone, I'm in and ready for a mighty good cleanse. Last week was a bit of a blur. I have a long busy week ahead, last meeting today finishes at 6.30pm - water and tea until dinner time with perhaps a miso mid afternoon.
@CandiceMarie thanks for your message last week, I'm on catch up - DD was discharged from Ozzy yesterday, minus her healthy appendix but with no diagnosis for the abdominal pain. They found a small amount of blood in the pelvis and she is being referred to outpatients for further investigation. It was all rather traumatic, she did not recover from the laparoscopy and general anaesthetic as quickly as expected - still has the abdominal pain and is on high doses of painkillers. Now that she is home I'm hoping she can relax and recover.
Wishing everyone a good week ahead :clover:

Ain't that the truth! In our household, we've nicknamed the bathroom scale "The Liar". We're funny like that... We give names to electrical appliances; our printer is called "Bob Marley" because "he be jamming" all the time.
I tried out an old pair of jeans that didn't fit me as a reference guide, and they're starting to fit (less and less snug). I guess the weight increase is either muscle, or I'm a bit bloated at the moment (feminine issues). Haven't had a bite to eat all day... Please excuse me while I go whip up a salad to die for.

@Lizbean Positive thoughts for your DD :clover:

Hello everyone ! I am in today but don't know if I will go all the way as I have some kind of a bug - or it's because of the magnesium as I know it can have that kind of side effects. For know everything is fine but, as I'll go to my parents' house later this morning, it could go either way. If everything goes to plan, it will be some peas and beans soup tonight

Good luck everyone ! :clover:

Fasting and fighting 'eating syndrome' and hoping for the best.
It won't be my best fast as a random packet of crisps wandered into my mouth last night :0@
At least only water, black coffee and tisanes until 6 pm then hope it doesn't crash and burn too drastically.
Hope this eat-everything-in-sight phase passes soon ...
I am in and doing this today. the last few weeks have been strange, stressful and weird. I am now back on this. Went for a run today and will have a couple of cups of coffee later. Dinner will be Gnocchi I think.
I am thinking of making a banana bread which is strange as I never ever had a banana bread in my life and I don't even know how it tastes like

Maybe change tonight's soup for some fish soup. I found one which will only be 150 calories for a big bowl and it would be packed with proteins. The trick is, I usually have fish soup with grated cheese and rouille (a sauce that consists of olive oil with breadcrumbs, garlic, saffron and chili peppers) and croutons, which isn't possible on a fast day
I'm in too after a dirty dirty weekend. Another dirty weekend ahead of me. I'm actually going to attempt a liquid fast of max 200cals today. Had a takeaway last night so completely full and bloated. It's nearly 1030am here and can't go to bed till 11pm as on the night feed with baby tonight. Just aiming to keep busy with tea, coffee, and I have a homemade tomato soup at home. I might see if I can get a bath as a treat. THe running water tends to wake baby up so don't manage to get one but hoping to
I'm in today (and need to be!) after having my daughter and two granddaughters over here last week during their Belgian school holiday. I was 143 pounds on last Sunday's weigh-in day, this Sunday I was 147 pounds, so that extra just has to go! I am off on a cruise three weeks today and would like some 'wiggle room' for the inevitable (for me) weight gain.
Good luck to everyone fasting today. :clover: :clover: Onwards and downwards! :victory:
