I'm in today. Looking forward to getting back to a regular routine. Nothing until later this afternoon, then some soup & salad - total 543 for the day.
Just had some yummy scrambled eggs, but I've remembered why the toast (made from delish seedy bread) wasn't such a good idea... I have butter on it. So the toast came to about 230cals before I even put the eggs on it. Oh, and I had a cappuccino at lunchtime. So have already hit 525 and it's only 6.40pm. Will I manage to avoid the heaps of Christmas chocolate??
I hope everyone else is having a more mindful day! :like:
@Golarne hang on in there :clover: chocolate comes tomorrow  I'm holding out for a ceasers salad at 8pm. I gave up drinking coffee when I started 52, just found tea more refreshing. Recently I have started drinking coffee again and I could swear it makes me hungry. Interested to know if anyone else has found this - not seen any comments on the forum to date.
Thanks @Lizbean, I needed that! My OH has gone fishing (I know, it's freezing out there!) and I was weakening just then!
I definitely find the same thing with coffee! I mostly have tea too, but if I've skipped breakfast, I have coffee if we are out. (Oh and a little something if it's not a fast day!) I think it's the caffeine, so I'll experiment with decaf next time...
I've just poured myself a cup of tea and will now put the open box of chocolates in another room. Easier to avoid if they're not looking at me! Enjoy your salad :bunny:
Well, I'm fasting today. Don't know if anyone is still around. It is just 3:15 pm here in Canada and I've just eaten my first meal of the day. A small portion of chicken and veg stir-fry. Very tasty and under 200 calories. Now I am full and just have to not think about treats. I've been eating even after feeling full, eating till my stomach hurts and I don't know why for the past month or so. So today, I'm hoping to get out of that rut. I am looking forward to my low calorie vegetable tagine/stew tonight. Perhaps I will go for a walk now to let my mind catch up with my stomach's full feeling. Hopefully, everyone was successful today!
@Golarne good on you and blimey fishing in this weather, he must be keen! Our coffee machine at work has two bean hoppers, so I'm going to suggest one is decaf and see how it goes. It's surprising no one has asked for this since we bought the new machine 4 months ago. I have been drinking the odd double expresso - perhaps that is why I'm feeling it.
@Stephd glad you have made it back, I'm off for a walk tomorrow after 2 weeks of festivities. Where will you walk, I'm off to the walking tent shortly.
Another OK FD under my belt - and assuming that this finishes out OK, that's it until Wednesday's FD. The joys of 4:3. :)
Nearly bedtime, phew!! I made it!
Good luck for your evening @stephd, enjoy your tagine. I'm wishing that I'd gone for a walk, I seem to be in a rut of no exercise. All summer I'm in the garden all day, and being so inactive is making my joints seize up!
I hope any USA fasters have a good day :clover:
OH developed a very nasty stomach flu last night and is in rough shape today, too. So it is only a matter of time until I do some involuntary fasting as these are so contagious and we have been very close these last couple days! I don't much feel like eating anything right now though so far I'm mostly just exhausted from getting no sleep last night.

I keep assuring him nothing bad will happen if he doesn't eat for 36 hours, though I am making him drink water with sodium/potassium salt substitute. He is complaining bitterly about that, but we could do without the trip to the ER. Done that in the past when I didn't go all mother hen over him.
@peebles I do hope it's not contagious, fingers crossed for you and that OH is feeling better soon. Fortunately I have not picked up anything this winter so far. @Golarne I could not wait for tomorrow, just been out for a 20 min walk - it's black ice out there so had to take it easy. Now feeling refreshed, though not quite ready for bed. Best wishes to all faster out west. :clover:
I've been in today. My skating friend is off this week and the weather was sunny today--chilly but beautiful--so we got out to our favorite trail for a skate (inline). Trail was a little damp still, we've been having lots of rain till today, but we just took our time and enjoyed being outdoors.

Have kept the light day today, but a little harder than usual. Had a Lean Think Thin bar on the trail (150cals) and plain tea while my friend had his cookie (told him it was OK; given that this is my WOL, can't be making others feel uncomfortable...).

Only just after 8pm here and I have only 225 cals left for dinner...will just have to be very mindful and have LOTS of veggies. Protein is good, but just so high cal. Eh, I can "have it tomorrow!" (Chocolate Babka from Trader Joe's...eeek!)
