Fasting today, Monday, Dec. 29
29 Dec 2014, 01:27
Anyone else?

I'm worried boredom is going to make this a tough one. Technically, it's a day off at my workplace, but I've come in to mark my students' final projects.
Hi MaryAnn - I'll be joining you in the morning after a sleep. I'm on holiday so I'm trying to keep focused too. Take it easy
I'll be joining you when it is morning, too. I started my fast at 7PM tonight.

I skipped a fast this past week, by design, and am rather looking forward to fasting, though I expect it to be tougher than usual given all the holiday eating I've been doing.

January will be a No Sugar month for me. We went totally overboard on the cookies, etc. these past few weeks. So it's time to extinguish the bad habits!
First "workday" after Christmas... I thought everyone would be fasting. I had a real bad weekend food wise, back to some old past habit of eating even after dinnner when i wasnt hungry. Was such a sense of deja vu that i was really looking forward to fasting today. its 1pm today and have had 2 eggs ( i needed protein) and 2 expressos, each with a dash of milk and 1/8th spoon of sugar.

First time ive felt and heard hunger pains for a few weeks so excited to be "back" to fasting
Fasting today too, and feeling the need to put it out there so I stay strong.
Monday fasts usually go quickly for me, but I have the day off work today so more of a challenge to behave, and dodge the cookie jar. Think I've gone to about 560 cals but I did a long run this morning so I can live with that. It's 7.00pm now so think I'm gonna make it. A glass of wine would be lovely though...
I'm in today - back yesterday from Christmas in Leipzig in Germany and only gained 1.9kgs (which is amazing for me because it has been FAR more than that on previous hols when I have not been able to eat as low carb as usual but this time I made a real effort not to hit the bread at breakfast). I have a real problem now if I eat lots of carbs in one go - I had about half a slice of chocolate gateau type thing the other day and good God did I feel ill afterwards - so sick, really sleepy and just horrible. So I think fasting and reducing my carb intake has also decreased my tolerance for them, and large meals in general - which is good and bad methinks. Oh well.

Good luck fasters!
Yoohoo fellow fasters! I'm going to give it a go today, but am feeling a bit pessimistic. Last fast was 19th Dec and I am now used to having 'a little something' with every cup of coffee/tea. It's 8.00, I'm still in bed and my tummy is already rumbling...
Right, I'm kicking out this negativity and going for it! Come on, we CAN DO THIS!!
Good luck everybody :clover:
I'm in. Dinner is over, the kitchen is closed and I WILL stop thinking about food. :)

I'm in..... Nothing till salad based dinner. may have tuna pasta salad as the chilled pasta will be acceptable to me.
My OH & I are joining you today to get back into our fasting routine that we did not follow for the past two Christmas week meals. We both have rotten colds so hoping to also kick our bodies into repair modes! We will only have coffee, water & some consommé until supper.
I hope you all have a good fast day.
I was in @Sallyo's other thread fasting-today-f8/fasting-today-monday-the-20th-of-december-2014-t13603.html

Yes, one of my usual 4:3 as it's a Monday, so, I'm in today.
So need a fast today! Chicken for dinner. Need some plain food after all the indulgences.
Very cold day. Taking my little one swimming this afternoon so the day should pass well.
Have a good day everyone.
Good Luck to all today's fasters! :victory:
I had a loooong lie in this morning, it was great! @Loversghost I too am intolerant of carbs, sugar in particular which I stopped eating decades ago. I cooked all the food this Xmas for my elderly parents - and they loved it! Sherry trifle and meringue wreath with berries and I was not even tempted. The carbs I have eaten over Xmas are potatoes, home made stuffing and a small crust of pastry from a leek and turkey pie - oh and then of course champagne and wine. I'll weigh in tomorrow morning which is my first fastiversary - I'm excited by reaching my fastiversary, but it's not a great time of year for it to fall in terms of numbers.
It's ceasers salad for dinner. Good luck to everyone aiming to shift those Xmas pounds. :clover: :clover:
I'm here today. I fasted on Friday but ended up at 660 calories because I couldn't resist some candy. Most of the yummy food is not in the house today so it should be easier. However I'm making jam today with the kids. Have a great day everyone.
