Fasting Today, Monday, July 6
06 Jul 2015, 00:29
Another crazy weekend, another Monday fasting.

Anyone else in?
I'm in today. HI @MaryAnn. I've had a boiled egg and toast and a black coffee. Off to the lung specialist in Launceton today, so that should keep me busy. And we aren't going to hang around longingly in cake shops either. What's for tea?
I'm being very boring these days: stir fried broccoli and a bit of cottage cheese. How about you?

Good luck with the specialist.
We'll be late coming home from Launceston, (Lonny) so I'll probably buy some nice steak there and have that with rocket salad and carrots: go into the garden now and pick the rocket and the carrots while it is light. I won't want to be doing that in the dark when we get home. It is the OH who is seeing the lung specialist, not me. Stir fried broccoli and cottage chesse sounds impossibly virtuous, @MaryAnn
I don't feel like fasting but hope I can stick with it - I have been helped greatly by not getting out of bed til noon!! Jetlag hit with a vengeance today. I haven't had a good night's sleep since my return, and it finally caught up with me. I almost physically could not get up!!

Another motivation to fast is that yesterday I put on some of the hiking pants that I wore on hols, and they were much tighter than they had been on hols!! (At the start of the hols they were loose...) What is that about?? I have eaten sensibly since my return with almost no processed carbs. (I checked they hadn't shrunk in the wash.) Hmmm.

I should be able to put off eating til dinner time, as I have lots to do between now and then. Dinner will be leftover rissoles from last night (made from leftover roast beef) with lots of veg.

Happy fasting everyone! :) :clover: :)
I am fasting today and it is 3:30pm already. Had half a toast with vegemite and half of a Lebanese cucumber and black tea for breakfast, one boiled turnip for lunch with a white coffee. My OH and I have a fixed dinner recipe for fast days . It is stir fry vegi with a piece of fish or chicken breast. Tonight we will go for chicken. :clover:
Boiled turnip, @Pariah??? Wow, do you add any herbs or anything, or is it flavoursome enough on its own? And how do you manage to only eat half a piece of toast? Agree that stir fry is a great fast day meal. :)

Dinner time is approaching and I should be fine to hang out til then. :) :) Just had the xth cup of tea, don't fancy coffee today.
Hello, I'm fasting today. Dinner is two boiled eggs on a bed of greens and green beans and fruit with yoghurt. It's going to be a busy day at work, one of those where you feet don't touch the ground...........sitting here with wet hair....time to get cracking! Enjoy your dinners
Good luck everyone :clover:

I'm in. I need to be very good today. I shall have salad later. Been for a run already.
and I'm in too. Managed one good fast last week, aiming for 2 this week. Another busy /pootling day ahead. No food til tea time.
Good luck fellow fasters :clover:
I'm in after a birthday week/weekend with fasts in between which went well.
Happy fasting xxx
Hello everyone!

I've not fasted for a couple of weeks (lost my mojo)...but I'm back in today. Need to get into a fasting routine, so Monday is a good day to re-start.

Hope it goes really well for everyone xx
I'm in! 3 good fasts last week but socially I did too much eating and drinking! I can't get back to my lowest weight and stay there lol. Need to socialise less, but it's soooo much fun lol.

Good luck all. :clover:
I'm in today, took some fasting time out, but I don't like not fasting, sooooooo second week back in, feeling good :)
Did I miss anything?
