Fasting today, Monday, June 22

Who else is in?

I've had an insane weekend and badly need a fast. I have friends coming later in the week, so i might do back to back today and tomorrow, then another on Thursday, to fit in 3 this week.

Good luck, Monday fasters! :clover: :clover:
Good morning@MaryAnn. I'm in. Black coffee is the only thing that has passed my lips so far. Today the plaster is being put onto the walls and we are going to have a holiday at the Ulverstone River Retreat so that OH doesn't have to breath in plaster dust. http://www.booking.com/hotel/au/ulverst ... ight_room= I have pottered around the house so far. I have to make the house ok for us to leave it so perhaps I should go through the fridge. I am making elderflower ice-cream because we have been invited out for dinner on Wednesday night by someone who admires my ice-cream making skills and has requested it. I made it yesterday and now it is in the ice=cream machine getting made into ice-cream. Perhaps I should make something to go with the ice-cream, like a tart or something. I like cooking on a fast day. Hope you enjoy your Monday, MaryAnn.
Hello all - I'm in today too on this lovely sunny Sydney winter day. Nothing but black tea and coffee today until something with chicken for dinner tonight. Finding today easy (but then I always find Monday easier than Thursday). Happy Monday fasting everyone.
I'm in will check in later, have a prawn salad for lunch then it's chicken thighs and more salad for dinner.
Hi All,
I'm in for today as well for a change.
I had a great weekend of hiking and sailing, so no Sunday fast ...
Good luck everybody :clover:
and I'm in too, first of two and a half/ three.
I've been eyeing up the elderflowers here @Sallyo and contemplating making cordial. Hadn't thought of icecream...
Feeling just a wee bit fragile after a very late night with one glass too many of wine. Midsummer does that to me ;)
Off to the bedroom to finish papering, then get the floor sanded for painting. It's coming together :D
Good luck fellow fasters :clover:
I made the ice cream using elderflower cordial, Janeg. No elderflowers here in mid winter. So go forth and make cordial so that you have it for winter projects. My fast is over. We are at the retreat. It's a tall skinny appartment and the heat rises, so sitting downstairs, we are cold, bring wraps tomorrow.
I'm in today! Just back from my Monday morning Pilates class and enjoying a mug of black tea whilst catching up on the forum. I spent the whole day in the garden yesterday fighting the creeping thistle in one of the flower beds. I was intending to finish it today but there is a chilly north-easterly wind and showers, interspersed with sunshine, so perhaps I better stay in and get on with some paperwork! :frown:
I'm also in today - hoping to complete 3 fast days this week as I'm fed up of being on a plateau, especially as I am so near to my goal weight! so much easier now the sunny weather is here.
I am in today. Had a good day so far. About to have egg and ham salad.
I'm in today; took the cat to the vet for his checkup (doing good, gained an ounce! he's almost 16), and was feeling a bit more peckish early than usual...So I told my belly if it continued to be hungry, I'd give it a poached egg...but it seems to have settled down for now. (Not quite 11am here.)

Very naughty Father's Day dinner here; we celebrate both that and my dad's birthday (June 13, his 88th!) on the same day since they are so close together. I brought a quiche and a chocolate pie; wasn't sure if the latter had turned out, so also cobbled together an alternate dessert, toasted angel food cake, strawberries/strawberry sauce, optional chocolate sauce... and made a whole pint of cream into whipped cream! As it happened, the pie was fine, so we had TWO desserts! (and the non-vegetarians had grilled salmon) My sister (very skinny!) piled on the whipped cream gleefully, said she'd been "whipped cream deprived."
Hi,
I was in today !!
Weight in tomorrow !
I had beetroot, tomatoes, cucumbers so far.
Headaches are back, I think I don't eat enough my non fast days.
Can't wait to go to bed and sleep, my head is killing me.
Very late checking in to report I fasted today, it's 22.30 in my world and my day started at 6.30am and has just, or is about to finish when I leave the forum for bed. I hope you all had a good day. It was great to read today's thread and dip into your worlds even though I have no time time to engage today. I enjoyed a light breakfast of eggs and then soup at lunchtime, tea, sparkling water and expresso. Next fast is Thursday, meanwhile I will be mindful as that works big time for me.
Sorry about your headaches, @Soophie. Do you get your usual amount of caffeine on fast days? Also sometimes a salty soup helps. Or just plenty of water...
Well after a weekend of gluttony thanks to a great Father's Dsy, I fasted with the exception of coffee a splash of cream. Ran 5 km today for the first time while fasting and it felt great. Mid day fast at 7pm and back to 16:8 tomorrow. Body seems happy and it feels amazing not to be focused on food. ☺☺ Happy Monday fasting from Canada!
