Fasting today Sat 17August 2013
16 Aug 2013, 23:44
Today am just managing my second 5:2 since last Sunday. it was a busy week so decided to cut some slack. So am getting organised. Soup is cooked, the Italian tomato which I have just taste tested yum. Am off to the gym and have to walk a doggie as well. So better get cracking.

All the best for fellow fasters today, I hope I have some company today
I'm not fasting today but you looked so lonely gillymary, so just popped in to say Good Luck and I hope it's an easy one for you ; )
@gillymary I can't believe that you are the only Aussie faster today out of 10000+ members! And now you must be nearing the end of your day- hope it went well.
I guess Saturday/holiday is never a popular fast day, but I had Chinese takeaway last night and pizza on weds so I'm doing a mini-fast today. Would be a fast, but I think the moussaka for tonight will take me a bit over 500. The trouble is, we have the plumber fitting new radiators today, so I may sabotage myself with biscuits!!m
I hope you had/have a good fast day gillymary!
Yes I'm in today but only for a ''semi'' fast I will do the 24 hrs then eat evening probably 3 courses + wine and bring it all in under my TDEE
Good Luck fellow fasters :clover: Sue
Must have been all those lovely vibes as I have had my best fast day in ages. Managed to just do liquids until 7pm when i had my soup. OH my goodness it is a fabulous recipe. I recommend this Forum's Italian Tomato Soup and do add the chilli. I went back for seconds and because I had cals to spare as had waited. I am still on target going for a new low on the scales in am. Wish me luck :)

I am sure the northern hemisphere will contribute some fasters to this thread. If not it twas a lovely day for it downunder. Golarne hope you held off on the temptations. Was that sharing a biscuit?!
Good Luck gillymary. On reaching your goal. :clover: Sue
I am fasting today too it's 11am in the uk and I'm starting to feel hungry!! Oh no x
Well done gillymary, what a brilliant day! :star:

And NO! I am not sharing a biscuit with the plumber, or anything else!! In fact he's had three with a coffee (& sugar) and I've only had a fruit tea. Getting peckish now... Even the smell from the soldering iron smells like dinner!
Haha! Solvents...yum!

I think I'm going to be ok just got to remember the hunger comes in waves x
Good stuff gilmary, it's just a wonderful feeling when fast days go smoothly! It kind of sets of a euphora of sorts...a feeling like it can in fact be a sustainable wol, wish tho I had that feeling all the time lol.

Doris I'm here with you, it's only mid-afternoon, just fiddling around the house trying to distract myself. I find not consuming anyting til dinner certainly helps with avoiding hunger/ the kitchen all day. Here's to fasting on a Saturday lol!
1/2 fast today... drinking water until a little dinner. A little difficult to do a weekend day! Staying busy, putting it off until later, extending the fast. :)
I made it! Very strange on a Saturday!
Only a tad over 600 cals and I had a glass of red wine with the moussaka, yoghurt for pud and a square of choc with a cuppa. :victory:

Only downside is that the plumber ate all my ginger nuts! Huh!!

Good luck LittleJoy and Sincere24. :clover:
I nearly always fast on a Saturday. Only downside today, was stopping for a drink in town when out with my hubby. He sat there with his latte and coffee & walnut cake and me with my peppermint tea!

Never mind - looking forward to my crumpets for breakfast tomorrow.
