I'm in!

Rocky ride so far, but I'm still in.

Perhaps 5:2 is easier then 6:1?

Anyway it's all an experiment.

Now what's shall I have for dinner.....
x
I reckon 5/2 is easier than 6/1, Jo. Too many days between fasts takes me too far away from my fasting routine!
Hi Ladies,
Another Saturday faster here! Out all day in the field so I shall be drinking like a horse all day, hopefully that will keep the hunger at bay!
And getting copious amounts of Vitamin D

I appreciate your feedback @jools7. You're right I feel out of the fasting routine today, it feels like more will power is needed today. I cut back to 6:1 as the sleep went crazy on 5:2. I'll try going back to 5:2 this week.
Cheers :clover: :clover:

Drinking, thanks for reminding me Debs. I forgot.
Good luck.

Since I reached maintenance I've been having the same challenge. I'm monitoring my weight closely and if I struggle to maintain then I'm going to shift to 4:3 with the third days fast being around 700 calories or may be 16:8 just to keep my mind and body in the "fasting/repair" mood

And count me in for the fast tomorrow, good luck everyone out East - your fasts will be nearly over by the time I wake up and start mine :-)
I am going for it today, my first ever Saturday fast. The reason why is because my daughter is going to a party and needs a taxi, so I've volunteered to do it so that op can't have any wine. Were also having venison steak , which is so low in cals that all I have to do is not have lunch and I've done it.
I'm in too and joining my buddy Oates for her FIRST Saturday fast. Can you believe it?!

So, no food today until tonight when I shall have chicken in red wine and mushroom sauce. All for a measly 304 calories. Not bad, eh?

Now, I need to keep in mind how I felt when I went to bed last night having gorged on cereal and oranges...extremely swollen and bloated. If I can remember how bad I felt, I should get through this fast with no trouble at all

Bean :starving:
I've been doing 5:2 and have already done two fasts this week. I'm thinking I could fit in another fast tomorrow (still Friday night here). My OH is working evenings and I have tonnes to get done tomorrow before the big Gold medal game (men's Olympic hockey) at 7am Sunday. Maybe that'll make up for all the rum I had tonight! anyone have experience with hangover fasting? :?:
Blimey, it must be very early where you are @LSD. isn't it? Well good luck on your loooong fast!

Bean :starving:
I do admire you super sat'day fasters!
I have only managed two,maybe three,tops
16:8 for me today!
Good luck all,specially Bean n Oates! X
Also me. Find it easier to keep warm at home on a fasting day than at work.
I'm in! I have lots to do in the house today because my daughter and two granddaughters have just left here to return to Germany, so I can keep busy, busy, busy. I am fitting in another fast because, although I have fasted on Tuesday and Thursday this week, they weren't as good as they could have been. I know that my evening meal was over 500 calories on both days and in between we have been out and about and eaten a fair bit of rubbishy food!

Add to that the biscuits and cakes which we just had to have in the house (despite the fact that the children aren't really very keen on them! ) and I know that I will be heavier on my Sunday weigh-in than I was last week! :frown: I am hoping that an extra fast may just help to keep my gain to the minimum!

Good luck to those of us fasting today! :clover: Onwards and downwards! :like:
After a night out culminating in fried chicken and chips last night, my digestive system is definitely owed a break today! I can see today being pretty easy... stomach's still a closed shop after last night, got work to do and may take myself for a short walk as it's sunny, then meeting OH to go to a classical music concert later. Got a very wide selection of low-cal hot drinks to keep me going until dinner, which I'm going to make early and heat up before or after the concert: chicken, thyme and vegetable stew, with bread for him, sans-bread for me.
Go, go, go!
Thanks for your well wishes @nursebean. I'm just getting up for the day. The last post was me going to bed, so less of an early morning, more of a super late night!
