@Lizbean, glad to hear that your first Saturday fast went well :) . But very sorry to hear about your friend. So sad.

@julianna, I am very intermittent with 4:3! I think MaryAnn is the expert, but there are quite a few others too. I am sure you have already checked out the tent. Whenever I tried 4:3 when I was losing weight, I found it very difficult (ie I felt like I was depriving myself and felt hungry a lot) and also it didn't seem to speed the loss at all. Now I am maintaining, whenever I put on a bit of weight (often!) I try 4:3 to help get rid of the excess as quickly as possible, and it does seem to work. Usually I don't need to do it for long and I am not totally strict on the 500 cals (which should really be 400 given my TDEE, but I tend to have around 600 because I really don't like going to bed feeling really hungry). I can't say I really like doing 4:3 - well, needless for say, I would prefer to eat more than I now do in general!!!!!! - but staying slim is important to me. Not sure if any of that is of use to you! Good luck with giving it a go! :D

Lovely weather this morning so I'm off for a 3 mile walk with a friend to clear my head. We will drop by the garden centre for a stiff coffee and I'll pick up a nice plant for the garden, in memory of my friend. See you later.
