I seem to be the first to post on this??

I am still trying to do 4:3 to shift those holiday lbs, not helped by 10 days in Adelaide and the stresses associated with dad becoming a permanent resident of the nursing home and having to advocate for his right to move independently when the Director wanted him in a wheelchair all the time to ensure he did not fall, and kept in the dementia wing in the evenings where staff could ensure he did not get out of the chair... I won't go into the very unprofessional emotional blackmail she tried to apply so that I would follow her wishes. Luckily dad's GP has confirmed that dad can use his rollator (walker) to get around. Thanks goodness as dad was getting very depressed being dependent on others.

Anyway, enough of that. Have just had a miso soup at 3pm cos I do now feel hungry all the time I am fasting... Wasn't a problem in the early days for this WOL. Oh well.

Good luck to any fellow fasters! :D
Not fasting today @Sassy1 but just responding to say good luck and make it a great one and look forward to that lovely light feeling in the morning. Plus good on you for sticking up for your Dad!
Go

No 3 rolling up ................. following very nice wedding on Thursday and 2lb gain?? The only carbs consumed were 4 glasses of champagne, 3 white wines and 2 gin and tonics, hic! With plenty of exercise dancing the night away goodness knows how I gained 2lbs. Never mind, I have fizzy water to hand.

Sassy I hope your fast went well, I guess you are now sleeping. @CandiceMarie bring it on! Off shopping shortly.

Anyone else joining us today?
I'm in for my usual Saturday fast. Only 4 hours to go till teatime but I am hungry. May have to resort to a Bovril!
It'sgoing well tho i' m dreaming of choccy cake @Lizbean Welcome to this exclusive satday club today@Chris PX
Well done Sassy on making it thru!
Liz, it can't really be two pounds of fat...just mainly water ..it' ll go! Mmm those drinks sound good! :like:
I'm fasting too, my husband has taken the kids to see his family for the weekend so I can get on with writing my dissertation, so it was the perfect time to restart fasting with no distractions after our long holiday.

Wasn't at all hungry until a few mins ago but now am starving so starting to think I might cook dinner soon.

Good luck fellow fasters!
@Nicky_94 good to have your me time, nosey me - what is your dissertation, just interested, good luck! @Chris P - I'm intrigued by weekend fasters, tis a first for me, I'm on leave from work -last week and coming week, so mixing it up a bit - for the first time ever.

@CandiceMarie - in your dreams - choccy cake tis for tomorrow my lovely, the kitchen is closed till then  Yup I think all the alcohol gobbled up everything and I just need to peel it off gently. Ouch!

Dinner is a very small lamb steak, salad and lots of fizzy water during the evening. Darn it, I forgot to buy tea bags this pm, can't do without a good cuppa  off to the local shop. x

Anyone else joining today?
@Lizbean - dissertation is for an MA in translation, about how freelance translators market their business. I'm right in the data analysis section and I'm no mathmatician so I'm finding the statistics bit hard, but I'm also enjoying the fact that I can just get on with it without the kids disturbing me.

To end my fast day I've been and bought myself a bath bomb and am planning a lovely relaxing bath with no one but me in it and no one banging on the bathroom door for the first time in 6 years

Your post made me feel like tea, am going to make myself a cup to see me through till dinner time!
@Nicky_94 enjoy your cuppa! Translation - good luck! I work for a think tank working in international environment and development, so if you are looking for consultancy PM me. Enjoy your solitary bomb bath treat :like:

@CandiceMarie - got my eye on you
@lizbean dont worry,no choccy cake or choc cake ingredients in the house!
Having a 266 cal dindins,so enough for some wine too..
Will deffo be having celebratory choc cake over the next few days as DD and SIL have now got move in date for their new home ..beginning October! ...staying with me til then xx
@CandiceMarie me too nothing in the house to make me stray.

Gutted though to lose a good friend in an accident, I'm on hols but logged on work email. The greatest charity lawyer in the UK.

xx
First chance to check in after writing my original post. :) Seems we were quite a small group of Saturday fasters. Hope the rest of you went well. :)

Thanks @julianna, @CandiceMarie, @Lizbean for your support. :D I did manage the day reasonably well - after the miso soup I went out and mowed the lawn for the first time this season, so that was a good distraction until dinner time. However after dinner I did have a couple of small indulgences (ie chocolate). Never mind.

Saturday fasting can work well for me because I do some voluntary work from 11-2 and often go shopping afterwards, so it helps the time pass.

Another reason for fasting yesterday is that we are going out to lunch at a winery today, and I know it is 3 courses here I come!!

Any US fasters would still be going, but those in the UK should be finished now. And Sunday fasters in Oz, NZ and Japan will be starting. Best wishes to all :)
@Sassy1 thank you, I'm off to bed soon. Fasting on a Saturday is a first, it's gone well. Enjoy Sunday, sounds great fun. Handing over the batten to our good friends west ....... .and our insomniacs in the tent x :clover: :like:
So sorry for the loss of your friend @Lizbean .that's so very sad.
Hugs to you from me. (((((((( )))))))))
Xxx Julianna.
Hi again @Sassy1I'm starting 4:3 this week. How long have you been doing it? How do you find it?
