@Suchard007 Thanks Suchard - they did fuss rather. Anyway, all ok now, apart from a rather bruised elbow.

I don't envy you having an outlaw staying - and only 2 chocolate biscuits? I think you're doing brilliantly x
HELP! It's 20:25, I'm planning my food shop for tomorrow whilst looking through Delia's How to Cheat at Cooking (which I got from santa) and my daughter is passing round her Christmas sweets. I've also got bread baking in the kitchen. So far I haven't been offered any sweets...........'I can have it tomorrow, I can have it tomorrow'.
I've done an unintentional fast today; went to bed feeling ill and woke up still feeling ill so it hasn't been hard not to eat anything other than just under 300 cals. Haven't managed a successful fast in weeks.
@jeninboston some people do a complete no cal fluid fast here. Amazing isn't it, like green teas and water. I do low cal herb teas, miso ++++++ H2O and a sort of lower cal bullet coffee. I take my hat of to the hard core no cal liquid fasters they really do give their bodies a repair day. My object is to get in under 350 cals to meet recommended fasting TDEE and that is enough for me and the hunger switch isn't so strident

I agree it takes absolute determination to stick to zero or very low calories. My plan for a juice fast today needed after a horrible kale, spinach, radish and lemon juice at lunchtime - I just had two poached eggs on a slice of toast and they were just what I needed to settle my stomach. But its upped my calorie count to close to 500 :frown:

oh well, I hope that satisfies my body and I don't end up craving something more ... only 5 hours and i sleep ... in the meantime, like someone else on this thread, I will keep repeating "I can eat tomorrow, I can eat tomorrow".
I failed miserably today. We ended up having guests and I just couldn't not eat with them. It wasn't a massive pig out (except for the chocolates and the mince pie and cream). O.K. it was a pig out. Adding up what I had it wasn't anywhere near my TDEE, so I'm calling it a 16:8. I will try again tomorrow.

I think this is the second failed fast since I started and the real reason for the failure is too many carbs the night before (a bottle of champagne being one lot of carbs).
@jeninboston think your green drink needed a green apple to sweeten it, @rawkaren posted a tasty green drink somewhere which I tried, it had ginger as well.
Oh well poached eggs are filling so all the best for the next few hours.

Yes that is right @jeninboston, as @gillymary says you need some apple juice in it to sweeten. I can't remember the precise proportions I use (depends what I have in the house), but it tends to be roughly:

Juice of 2 apples
knob of ginger
juice of a lemon
juice of 4-6 celery sticks
juice of a cuke
blended spinach or kale
