@rawkaren sorry I used butter 1 tablespoon of unsalted kind, 1 heaped tablespoon of coconut butter oil and it was just a dash of almond milk. All up it tasted Devine, but have been feeling crook all day with a severe headache. I just felt like fruit all day yesterday which I followed as I believe in instinctive eating. Wonder if I have started up a cleanse of sorts and it is a toxin headache. As one can imagine it has just been Xmas so am sure I have toxins to spare

Still soldiering on with the fluid fast but just caved and had my night cap hot chocolate on almond milk a couple of hours early. Might herald an early night
I wish I was three hours ahead like you! Still sat at work trying to keep the cravings at bay!!
I'm in.
Having hit maintenance in the autumn, I now need to try to get back there. Can all this December weight really be fat? I don't want to end up in weight-yoyo mode. Sigh.
I wasn't planning to fast today but I did one yesterday and it went rather well plus I weighed myself this morning and I've gained 2 pounds over the holiday season so I'm going to gibe this a try

It's close to noon and I've already had all my calories in breakfast (I was starving). But I feel good and I'm going to work hard at not adding any (or many) more calories to my day and see how it goes.

I know my body simply needs a good purge of what I've eaten this past week

Good luck fasters - I'll be back at the end of the day to report how I did
i was planning to wait until Monday, but lasted until dinner then only had around 500 cals so I'm in for a bonus day- and the first of the year!
Well done Merlin; bonus days are needed this time of year

I'm doing well so far and it's mid afternoon. I'd never eaten all my calories in the morning but so far so good
Brilliant you guys! I gave up at about 4 this afternoon when OH came home. Still, at least I had a decent length of time for my first 2014 attempt, so I'm not calling it a failure.
Hi all
Its almost the end of the day for me but had a extra fasting day today so I can have a nice
Sunday Lunch made by my hubby a nice beef dinner yum yum :-)
I made it through 36 hr fluid fasting. Was going to continue through until early lunch but while cooking my wheat free loaf of bread and got tempted by a stray hazelnut. So fast has been broken by fruit, seedy mix and yoghurt ahhhhh :like:
Made it to dinner, ate what I had planned so as of right now, am on track, but I'm feeling really unsettled & like I want cheese. & toast! Haven't fasted on a Saturday before, don't think ill do it again, really struggling right now. I can do it, its almost 7 pm...maybe if I promise myself cheese toast for breakfast...?
Good Luck everyone, I hope you made it! :)

I am starting my first ever fast on tuesday, will there be another forum topic available like this on that day as well? Because it seems like a good way to keep motivated, like everyone is doing it together! :)
It is now 01.27 on the Sunday, so it is really the end of my fasting day. But I go for 36 hour liquid fasts now. This one was 'interrupted' by 2 chips (fries) and a tiny bite size piece of homemade flapjack given to me by a visiting friend. So far so good. I'm off to bed in a bit and will probably find that my evil desires for Malt Loaf, toasted with butter will have disappeared overnight.
 Hang in there MLCDz! It's Sunday where I am and it was the sweetest feeling waking up this morning with the knowledge I had successfully fasted yesterday - that feeling tasted better than any food I could imagine! Plenty of time for cheese on toast tomorrow.

Yep, Milly, it's great - you'll find buddies here to fast with whatever day you choose!
