First proper fast of 2014 for me today. Going to try and stay busy, hydrated and motivated!

Will anyone be joining me today?
Looks like it's you and me Otter! Second of the year for me and I've been awake since 4am. It's ging to be a long day with just me and my soda water!!
I am in too, first for 2014

Fluid fasting it is so may a good fast be with us
Indeed Yoda!!!
You are sparking today @Debs you have already made me LOL, and yes you got it
That's cos I've been awake since 4am
Good to have some company Debs and Gillymary! Why are you up so early in the morning Debs? hope that'll mean you get an early night tonight.

I'm headed to the beach for a swim - that should refresh me and keep my mind off fasting for awhile!
Sounds nice Otter! I start work at 6am (mine site) and am still adjusting back to WA time after being in Melbourne. Plus the noisy bugger next to me slammed his door at 4am waking me up! I could have got up and gone to the gym but I went last night and my legs told me otherwise!
I will be back, when it is actually morning for me. But yes, I am fasting for Saturday, the first of the year, the third since Christmas though. I need it, as the pile of goodies left over since Christmas has to be worked off somehow.
Have a good day..i always admire you Satday Fasters..think have only done Saturday twice..xx

If at first you don't succeed…

I'm in today since I messed up yesterday. I'm in a weird I want to eat everything in sight mode, so it's probably just as well that I'm fasting.

Good luck everyone!
I'm in for Saturday. Went to a Brazilian steakhouse with my family today & can't imagine ever wanting to eat again! Looking forward to not having to worry about eating tomorrow (still Friday eve here). Good luck to all Saturday's fasters, its only one day, we can do it :)
hmm it's only 230 and i'm on my third coffee (I usually stop at 2 because more sometimes makes my heart race) and I've already had my miso soup. I know I'll be fine, but I'm struggling a bit more than the first post-holiday fast. Plus, I'm working on a Saturday.
I embarked upon a making bullet coffee at 2pm, ground the beans and was just about to use my coffee plunger (my usual slow method) and found the glass base was cracked, so I fossicked around and found some old filters but no machine. So I used a series of strainers and the filters get my coffee filtered. Had to ping it as was cold. Then thought I go for broke make a real bullet coffee with the unsalted butter and coconut butter and splash of almond milk. I blitzed same and the contents splattered everywhere. You can imagine the mess of butter and coconut but I had also used some of the coffee. Uggg I have cleaned up, the kitchen was a disaster the coffee tasted great though. Very creamy. Still not hungry which is good.
@gillymary sorry but can't help laughing at your coffee episode. What a nightmare :curse: interested to know you use coconut milk instead of coconut oil. Sounds very creamy
