Well done @Klipspringer - good luck with the rest of your fast day...just keep away from anything sweet (apart from you OH of course  )

Bean

@nursebean - the Luminaries is about 3rd on my list - behind the JKR and Gone Girl! And I've just started reading a book by Alan Warner called .the Deadman's Pedal!
Ok, I guess we'll have to discuss The Luminaries some time next year?!!

Bean
I just had all my calories for lunch; eggs, broccoli, hummus and a handful of sunflower seeds BUT I have the munches quite bad and I've been stuck indoors because of the snow

i cant wait for it to ease off a bit so I can go to go out for a walk to distract myself and do another kind of feeding; feeding my fitbit

I'm hoping the distraction tactics will work - fingers crossed
Dinner's gone, and I'm hungrier than I have been all day! Oddly, though, that's totally decoupled from any sort of craving, and if I went "Oh screw it all" right now and went to the kitchen, I honestly wouldn't know what I'd want to eat. Just a couple of hours til bed, then I can't wait to wolf down some porridge in the morning. Overall, been much easier than I'd imagined. Right now, my body's telling me never to do this again, but I think after I've fed it tomorrow it'll come round to the idea!

Also, my face is feeling very warm and flushed-- is that a side-effect, or am I just weird? :S
So this is my second fast and I feel amazing? No headaches or anything? Such a contrast to my first fast! The only difference is I skipped breakfast and started eating about 11am instead of 7am. Feeling happy, I can do this!x
:clover: @Klipspringer For me I always become more hungry once I've eaten so that's my reasons for evening meal only as you've already felt that invigorating feeling you know just what this WOL is doing for you.
Worth thinking about if you think you could try going all day just keep busy doing whatever it takes apparently the longer fasts are more beneficial health wise for us :clover:

Nursy  Thank-you so much@nursebean my signature was in doubt of being out of date because the silly season has hit me harder than I'd expected lessons learned and back on track now
Glad you nipped it in the bud @Sue.Q and are now back on track. Love your avatar by the way!

Bean :victory:
@Sue.Q Yes, think I'll try that on the next fast day: then I can decide which works best for me. Strangely didn't get too hungry between lunch and dinner, but think my body was anticipating a big dinner to make up for my neglect so is having a whine (or a rumble).
 @Klipspringer You may find you get up tomorrow not hungry as I do I then skip breakfast making 16:8 it saves me calories and another mini fast under the belt

@klipsonger - how did the rest of your evening go? I hope you managed to hang in there. I don't know about the warm/flushed face; may be a combination of excitement, anxiety, anger?

I'm having a so so fast today; I just ended up going for a walk to take my mind of food but im still craving something so I had a couple of cups of miso (60 calories) and two ginger sweets (40 calories), so I've reached 640 calories with my milk ration for the day. That's 100 more than I usually do but still half of my TDEE so I'm determined not to give in; after all, I can have it all tomorrow :-)

Just 4 more hours until I sleep - she says as she goes to make herself a herbal tea
 Hang on in there @jeninboston You can do this and don't worry to much about going over with your calories look at my stats and I've never been overcautious I know I will have to be careful from now on as my TDEE decreases better to do a nearly fast that a complete failed one.
Thanks @sue.q.

The craving has certainly passed and I feel good about that - it was a close shave
@jeninboston I got through the rest of the evening fine, thanks :) I managed to work out this morning before breakfast-- amazed that I had the same amount of energy as I usually do on a normal pre-breakfast workout day. The red face lasted for about an hour, very weird but not uncomfortable. We'll see what happens next time! But right now... cheese on toast time! :)
