Hi,

I'm joining you today, and am looking forward to it in a strange kind of way.

I'm not fasting today but just popped in to say 'hello and good luck'.

Yep, this will be my first fast for the coming week because MOH is returning later today from an overseas trip and we usually go out the day after to have a meal out. I have some nice ham to eat later on (makes a change from salad/chicken)

Hello, I'm in too! Also strangely looking forward to it since a lot of snacking/grazing went on all day yesterday, followed by a massive plate of chilli and rice for dinner. With cheese. When will I learn that I don't feel good after nonstop eating?!

So, today will definitely give my body a break. Liquids only until tomorrow :-)

I'm definitely fasting today but hadn't planned to. I ate far too much yesterday and as a consequence feel awful! I just don't know what came over me as I'm normally so careful on normal eating days. I actually still feel full from yesterday so it's going to be very easy today. Have a good day fellow fasters.

Another one on an unplanned fast today to try and get back on track after a few days of unsensible (even better, nonsensible!) eating.

Like you, Kawberlin, I wonder too - when will I learn?!

After a week of too much food and much too much red wine I am in too. Yesterday I scoffed a packet of crumpets with a ball of mozzarella and half a jar of blueberry preserve, on top of a huge lamb curry, and today I feel as though I've swallowed a lead balloon. :frown:

I'm in, the first proper fast for nearly 2 weeks as I've been and still am ill. But the body is saying 'no more, please no more food, let me have a rest'. So I'm listening to and obeying my body.
I have needed the extra protein and carbs whilst ill, but now I'm looking forward to a pile of vegetables of some sort for dinner. I must be getting better.

Done rather well today, didn't actually ever feel hungry. Must be something wrong with me, haha!

It is rather pathetic how much I am looking forward to my mug of beef Oxo tonight :-) While the boyfriend feasts on pizza :-(

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Julie. And glad you had a good fast day, Kawberlin.

I fell off the wagon with a thump. Had a stressful morning (attempting an IKEA shop on a Sunday!), came home and indulged in seriously nonsensible eating. Still feeling a bit sick four hours later.

Oh well. Continuing with my policy of refusing to beat myself up, I shrug (not very convincingly!) and say, oh well, Tuesday (next scheduled fast) is another day.

This does reinforce something I already knew, though - I have to plan ahead for fasts - impromptu doesn't usually work for me.

Well, I have fasted today almost accidentally - given that I am maintaining and have been struggling a bit to get UP to my target weight. Last night was an annual dinner with the climbing club so we did not eat until late, about 21:00, and bed was very late so not hungry this morning. Then took up an invitation to spend the afternoon on an indoor climbing facility in Northampton so set off with a bar of 85% chocolate just in case but it was not required. Just had half an avocado and a chunk of cheese because dinner is going to be late but still not feeling desperate - and we did a lot of climbs at decent grades without running out of puff. Pleased!

I've fasted today. My first in 9 days. I have eaten badly since last Saturday, but am back on this.
