Hello fasters! Who's in today? I am. Tomato and lentil soup for dinner and nothing until then except tea and coffee. Sun is shining in a wintery way. The red camellia is looking gorgeous out the window and any moment I will see an Eastern Spinebill or a Little Wattle bird sipping nectar from the flowers. I am struggling with a complicated knitting pattern, making a cardigan for my grand daughter, Sophie. I have managed up through 22 rows of pattern and now I have to do it all again but I can't seem to get it right, taking into account all the increase in stitches at the edges. I don't understand it. I have done it a million times, knitting it and then undoing it but i will persist.
Hello Sallyo - I'm fasting in the morning. Dinner will be quick eggs and salad as I have an evening meeting. Good luck with your knitting, that is some patience you have! Off to bed. Have a nice day everyone and good luck with fasting.
Morning Sallyo! Night, night Lizbean! I'm in today after having survived the coldest day in Adelaide for the last decade! My poor little Queenslander fingers and toes were certainly feeling it.

My fasting today's going to be helped by being either in the airport or on a plane from lunchtime to dinner, so it will only depend on not giving in and getting fish and chips or some such dinner on our way home, because I have no idea what we might have in to eat once we get home.

Hang in there with the knitting, Sallyo - I regret the many half-finished projects that I've never managed to persist through, and wish I'd stuck with them.
Hi Sallyo, Lizbean and PeonyBlue.
Hope you warm up soon Peony, it's ok here but they predicted snow in Katoomba today (about 1/2 hour drive up the Mountains from me) so it might get colder.
@Sallyo keep going with the knitting, I can't knit, I've tried and tried but no
I crochet, though I haven't for years, but I'm considering trying an Afghan crocheted throw rug as I can't find a throw in the colours I want.
Happy fasting everyone.
2pm and the hunger monster is here. Making some liquorice tea to see if that helps and I have made the soup so I don't have to do it later in the day when the situation may have got even more dire. Tomato passata from the freezer and pigeon stock from the freezer plus an onion, a handful of red lentils and spices. Pretty easy and hopefully sustaining a few hours form now.

I am drawing diagrams on graph paper of my knitting problem. Hopefully that will reveal the next step.
Morning @Sallyo have you worked it out yet?@Peonyblue hope you were able to duck the fish and chips option  @Wineoclock I like the sound of your rug. Hope you were all able to stave off that naughty hunger monster.

Calling buddy@spanner - are you on fasting duty? Time to come out and play
I'm in. Had a planned electricity outage from 9.30 to 3.30 so I'm just catching up on things. Freezing day for it. I've been huddled on the sofa with a doona, cat and a hot water bottle. Luckily I have a gas cook top so could boil water.
I have planned to fast today, but we are off to OHs mums later. I will fast until then and hopefully manage to keep cals low for dinner! :clover:
I had toast and tea at half time of the semi final this morning and it was only hours later I realised that I was meant to be fasting today. Doh!
Oh Chook, horrible to have no electricity in the cold AND be colder from fasting.
I'm in, this is my 2nd day of back to back fasting-just because I couldn't fit it in on a different day this week. Yesterday was hard so I am hoping today is better. Just water so far, I have no idea what I will have for lunch but I am allowing myself a 'twister' ice cream (76) while I take my niece's to the park and then Bruschetta Chicken Bake with salad for dinner (249)

Good luck everyone. :like:
Trying not to fast! Strange thing to post on the fasting thread but theoretically I am maintaining so I am taking the plunge and trying missing today's fast. I might try one of those magical eating windows instead-they don't really fit my lifestyle on a normal day but I guess they should on a day when I normally fast.
Court me in. Am an ADFer but have only managed one fast this week. Have stuck to eating windows the other days. Good luck today's fasters.
I'm in and almost done with dinner. Have to keep myself occupied for a while and at least 1 cup of herbal tea to forget that I'm not quite full.
Good fasting everyone!
chinchin
Worcester contingent signing in.
Coffee ( with just a dash of milk) most the morning
Marmite drink for lucnch
Stir fry Tonight
DH and I are in today. Hairy dieters sweet and sour chicken (except it will be turkey) for dinner.

Am struggling with horrible headaches recently, which I'm sure are weather related as DD1 is getting them too. I feel queasy with them too, which I guess is no bad thing when fasting as I don't fancy eating!
