Well done, Australians who are nearly through. I had grilled prawns with a marinade of basil, parsley, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil. And a salad of cucumber and tomato. It wasn't enough so then I had a very small serve of ice-cream, some stewed plums and a small handful of 'independent crumble'. Now I feel quite satisfied and am just tidying up the kitchen prior to watching 'Hiding'. Had a good day. Went out for coffee with a mate and just had a long black. Had to take the OH to the doc. He has been really sick for weeks now but today it reached a peak and I said: For goodness sake, make an appointment to see a doctor TODAY - he has an appointment for Monday. So, for once, he took my advice and I drove him up to Penguin to see a doctor. He came away with stronger pain killers. It looks as if he will have to have a 2nd hip replacement. As well he has been diagnosed with a lung infection - an unusual one which we learn is associated with medical procedures. It's the same one that he had last winter. Normal antibiotics don't touch it and we have now been through this twice. Take antibiotics which don't work, have it tested, discover it is this particular infection and then get targeted antibiotics. It is very slow to shift. Mean while I have a new car and the house is being painted. It looks wonderful. My new car is wonderful. It doesn't feel like my car yet. I have gone from a 1992 Toyota Camry to a Hybrid 2014 Toyota Camry. Swish!
Poor old OH,Sallyo :0( Hope he gets over the infection soon...and i guess he isnt looking forward to hip replacement two, but will be worth it in the long run
By the way,why are men so reluctant to go to the docs - or to ask for directions when lost?
but lovely news about new car/ newly painted house! And how lovely to drive to a place called Penguin!
Do you have a biscuit called Penguin in Oz? Trying to remember the name of a biscuit my friend brought back from Oz called ....?
No. I have never heard of a biscuit called Penguin. Penguin, the town, does have a Giant Penguin however, which we now learn is made from asbestos. But there are also real penguins on this coast. You can see them at various locations at dusk when they come in from the sea to feed their chicks who are waiting in the sand dunes. Hope your fast is going well, @CandiceMarie.
A bit of cross cultural assistance here! Penguins are a chocolate biscuit similar to a Tam Tam here in Australia.
Almost done here thank goodness, why are some days so much easier than others?!!
That sounds lovely @sallyo !
Fast going ok thanks...right now, just riding out a " hunger pang" attack..it will pass! X
TamTam!Thats the name i was trying to remember @debs! X
Well done both of you finishing yr fasting day xx
I'm in today. Been to visit my grandparents this morning and we have arranged to go out to dinner on sunday so got that to look forward to. Not sure what to have for dinner but it will involve an egg I think.
2nd Fast day of the week today. Truth be told, I'll be glad when it's over! I had a rough boot camp workout this morning and am feeling more hungry than usual. Oh well.....this too shall pass!

Happy belated birthday @carieoates :victory: I'll be having my celebration tomorrow complete with naughty bits! Out for dinner with friends and all that! Glad you had a good one!

Happy fasting all!
I'm in. Hungrier than I have been the past two fasts and bone idle, which is making it tougher. I need to come up with another project. But this dreadful snow-bound winter is taking its toll on me. I went out yesterday but driving was scary. The roads are so narrow that passing can be an issue, and there are such high piles of snow at intersections sometimes you can't see oncoming traffic. And we have 16+ more inches in the forecast in 2 more storms.
I'm fasting today also. Going to have steak and salad for dinner tonight. Hope everyone is having a good fasting day.
A smooth fast and repair day for me...Looking forward to replenish day tomorrow..i don't know if there's something wrong with the scales or with my eyes, but apparently i've lost one stone one lb in 39 days! Must've had a ton of water to drop i think
Still, glad to see downward movement on the scales! xx
Well done all thursday fasting folk! X X come on US,not long to go now xx
Bit late but I've had a successful fast today, I've been so busy I haven't had time to worry too much about my stomach

2 coffees, one expresso, 5 teas, a lovely soup (200 cals) and 2 litres of sparking water. I would normally have something in the evening, but I attended an evening meeting, my voluntary work.
Best wishes to all who are still fasting :clover:
Bedtime for me. :victory:
