Good luck Fasters!
Lori wrote: Another Thursday faster here! I'm not sure why I keep doing this as the scale is not cooperating! Been doing this over 2 months and am only down a couple pounds. I'm trying to persevere, but it's not easy. I'm trying to be extra careful on my "eating" days this week, but it seems to be making no difference. Oh well...at least I'm not gaining! I guess the next step is to really cut carbs again. I was hoping 5:2 would allow me to have some carbs on my eating days, but so far I'm just basically maintaining. Just have to keep tweaking until I figure this thing out!
Good luck Fasters!
@Lori that sounds really frustrating! Not sure why it is`nt working, but hang in there!
@cyclonet i tend to keep most of my 500 cals for evening..i might splurge 50-100 around 4pm fir soup or an orange..i sometimes need a boost but if i dont, i wait til around 7 pm to eat
I do allow myself, without counting in, one or two small cups of teawith a trickle of milk.
Shouldnt really as technically it breaks the fast but i have it as late as poss, and i guess its only 10 cals per cup. A pint of semi skimmed lasts me for several days.
@sallyo i feel for you..that sort of thing can be frustrating, tiring and grump making! X

Fasting went really great on tuesday, hoping it to be just as easy today:)
By the way, how do I do that @ infront of everyones name, so you`ll get noticed?
Havent figured it out...
Hi everyone, I'm in today... 10 days til the wedding. Aaaaaiiii! Was up til 1:30 am last night finishing writing an article so I'm a bit bleary-eyed. I thought I was putting the milk back in the fridge after making some coffee and I found myself putting it back in the pantry....
@Norwegian_girl this is all you need to do! Just add the @ sign in front of the user name you want to reference. Make sure you've spelled it right, though, or it won't get hyperlinked! I've noticed a few times someone has flagged me but I didn't see it as they'd not spelled my user name correctly.
Hope everyone has (or is having) a beautiful day. It's a bit drizzly and chilly here.
Ladan
Actually, you have to either go into the "full editor", highlight the person's name and then press the "tag" button, *or* you can
type this before the name (but with no spaces) [ t a g ] and then this after [ / t a g ] @Norwegian_girl and @ladantrying
Well I'm in for a proper fast day after blowing Monday's with my husband. He is not a fan of fasting while we're home with a full kitchen. I tell him I do it all the time, but he thinks it's a monumental task. The hardest part about today will be the exercise. I really really hate exercising while hungry. And I have a lot of steps to do!!
Hope the rest of the day goes well for all of you! Stay strong!

Thanks @@CandiceMarie
Looking forward to getting back into it!
I started doing oil pulling (today is day 5) and while I haven't noticed anything revolutionary yet, it isn't as icky as I'd feared. I'm using coconut oil which I premelt (suggested elsewhere to reduce ick factor). The first day I made it to 18 minutes, every other day I've made the full 20. Since I have a pretty active gag reflex, I'm surprised. We'll see on the results, but if it just helps with dental hygiene and especially whitening my teeth (I can't do bleaching, too sensitive, and as a coffee/tea drinker, they are badly stained), I'll be happy. Oh, and I brush my teeth (with Earthpaste) after pulling, then have a cup of strong mint tea, seems to help with any lingering goopy feeling (TMI, I know!). Hmmm...just realizing that I sometimes get a sour taste in my mouth on light days, not today; wonder if the pulling helped with that?
For those of you who recall my eczema flare, it's finally resolving; I did find a great natural cream that's helping (comes from the northern wastes up there in British Columbia!); perhaps the borage and black currant oils are also kicking in. Dr Weil says they take 6-8 weeks to have an effect, sigh.
