I'm in again today following a successful fast yesterday! I haven't done 2 days in a row for a long time but it was the only way to fit them in this week after a public holiday in Melbourne on Monday meant I cooked a big yummy dinner for me and the OH!
Feeling good at the moment, I guess time will tell :smile:
I was sent a very interesting article by my mum this morning who is very into Zoe Harcombe at the moment. She doesn't wholly condone IF - nevertheless, interesting article. Sorry if it's been shared before. Would be interested to hear of any thoughts?

Hi Thursday fasters. Just back from a big grocery shop, now the awful task of putting it all away.
That article looks interesting @kelkelkelster but it's a bit long to read right now, I'll pop back later and have a look.
I'm in.

It's almost 12pm here in Perth and so far I've had a half dozen cups of lemon and hot water. I've a sachet of miso for lunch, a diced turnip for the afternoon and a small new season fuji apple for in the car after work leaving me a very healthy 413 calories for dinner.

I've been pouring over the Celia Brooks 5:2 Vegetarian cookbook and there are some fabulous recipes. Tonight I am going to have South Indian Tofu and Mushroom Curry with cauliflower rice and steamed green beans.

I recalculated the calories as those in UK cookbooks tend to be understated when using Australian foods and while the main recipe makes 2 serves I have the calories to have both and am planning to. Usually I'd have a smaller dinner and eat again later but I want to get out of snacking in the evening.

Do you eat most of your calories in one meal, spread them out during the day or something different?

I'm in too. It's nearly 5 pm here and I'm about to do a lovely scenic 4.5 mile hill walk home from work and looking forward to a nice meal after. Roast pumpkin, veg sausage, with zucchini pesto

Have had 1 sachet miso and a splash of soy milk in tea at lunch. (to get through post workout craving)

HI. I'm feeling very grumpy. I have decided to be really strict today, ride the hunger waves like I used to do when I first started, nearly 2 years ago. I have had a cup of coffee and a cup of tea. I think I should have another cup of tea to get me through til dinner. Roast chicken and salad. I am on the edge and have just had a virtual fight with CentreLink. I have to report my income so that my OH's old age pension can be adjusted and the app on my phone which I usually use to do that, said I had to update the pin. But every number I put in is unacceptable. So I have tried phoning, doing it on- line, deleting the app and getting another one, but it's all hopeless. My numbers are not recognised. And I can't get to talk to a real person. It is so frustrating. I will have to go into the office in person tomorrow and give up half the day! VERY GRUMPY^^
@Sallyo oh dear how frustrating. Well it's nearly 6pm, dinner time soon, maybe that will cheer you up. We're having lamb cutlets wiht steamed veggies and roast potatoes. I would normally avoid the potatoes but they were only picked a few days ago so nice and fresh - who could resist them - not me.
Rumbley Thunder here, I hope there isn't a storm like yesterday stuffed up the trains yet again, daughter is getting very fed up with it all.
Morning all! I am in today allso:) This is my second week fasting on tuesday andthursdays. I weighed in again, and have lost 0,4 kg since tuesday this week, a total of 1,9 kg in two weeks:) :victory:
Fasting went really great on tuesday, hoping it to be just as easy today:)
By the way, how do I do that @ infront of everyones name, so you`ll get noticed?
Havent figured it out...
I hear ya, @Sallyo, just the mention of CentreLink makes me hyperventilate!

hi everyone im also in and im new this is my second fast lost 0.7grams frm last fast i am still trying it out but i am very happy so far. Its 9.31am i am in africa and i will hav a cup of soup at lunch and for dinner some lean chicken and mixed vegetables and pumpkin

Hi everyone, I'm in today... 10 days til the wedding. Aaaaaiiii! Was up til 1:30 am last night finishing writing an article so I'm a bit bleary-eyed. I thought I was putting the milk back in the fridge after making some coffee and I found myself putting it back in the pantry....

@Norwegian_girl this is all you need to do! Just add the @ sign in front of the user name you want to reference. Make sure you've spelled it right, though, or it won't get hyperlinked! I've noticed a few times someone has flagged me but I didn't see it as they'd not spelled my user name correctly.

Hope everyone has (or is having) a beautiful day. It's a bit drizzly and chilly here.

Hello I'm in today. Got a busy day today.My grandad is in hospital again for stronger antibiotics as he keeps getting chest infections and what with the cancer and his reduced lung compacity it won't go on it's own. So off to make sure my Nan doesn't do herself any harm as she is having memory problems at the moment due to a lack of vitamin b12 and her thyroid. Plus she can't hear properly on the phone when talking to the hospital. So it may turn into a low cal day instead.
I'm back after a bit of a break! Reached my goal and got complacent again! Hoping to do two fast days for the next few weeks! Been reading up on all the threads. Great to see many people doing so well. :like:

What a gorgeous morning here in Hertfordshire, the suns out and I'm off for a dog walk before it disappears! (the sun not the dog)
Another fast underway and a black coffee on the go. Thinking of doing a Hairy dieters chilli for dinner tonight, just have to avoid the choc and pecan brownies I made yesterday that wave at me every time I go in the kitchen!
