Well done all southern hemisphereers, and good luck to us all in the north today. I started my fast rather late yesterday evening, 8pm, so the need to keep going until at least 6pm is strong, but if I only get to noon it will have to do. Not stressing my body, just hoping for the best :0)
Morning all, lovely sunny day in Hertfordshire. Just poaching some salmon with lime and chillies to take to work with a huge salad for my dinner tonight. Before work though it's going to be a long dog walk across the fields then a bit of ironing ( boo hiss). Plenty of water and a few black coffees thrown in. May even go pick some mint leaves to take to work for a minty tea.
Enjoy the fast everyone x
I' m in for a very focused on fasting day! I tend to declutter my cds and as much housework as i can! Have a thrilling thursday and a thorough fast! :like:
I'm in. First fast of the week for me - been on holiday but at home and haven't felt like it but today I will! I find it SO much easier when I am working because there is no food anywhere :-) Good luck all.
First fast in ages, so here goes!

It's been absolutely hectic since leaving uni, but I graduated on tuesday and now that I'm home I think I can finally start looking after myself again. Just walked the dog with mum and I'm having a birth chart reading later (a family friend does it for a living, thought I'd give it a go!). Then I think it's going to be reading my new book in the sunshine :)

Have a good day everyone!
I'm in, and it's 12.25pm and so far it's easy because :
1. We had visitors yesterday and I ate alot!
2. It's warm.
My sympathy to the southern hemisphere contingent. It really is easier when it's warm, although @Katamac made me giggle not liking any temperature under 20! It's 22 here, which is full on summer dress mode!
I'm in, but it is going to be a long and nasty fast day, as I woke up at 3:30 AM and couldn't get back to sleep. I am so tired now and it is only 7:45 AM. Ugh!
In today, not my usual fast day but I gave myself yesterday off to make sure I'd be at my best for a set of new-school interviews. Today's challenge, though: I have to bake a cake for a fundraiser! Cooking is not usually too tough for me while fasting, but it will be pretty hard to not sneak a fingerful of buttercream.

Happy fasting, all! Warm thoughts to all you southern-hemispherers.
I'm in today! Haven't been around in awhile! I was away on vacation, and didn't fast at all. Came back and I'm still the same weight as always, have to love that after all the feasting and celebrating! Now I'm hoping to lose the last stubborn 14lbs to get down to a healthy BMI once and for all. Fasting today and afraid it might be hard - since my body is used to having lots of bread and wine and chocolate! Good luck to all!
Night all. I ended up with a mussel stew with chirozo and chick peas. I remembered someone was coming for dinner and this was an easy but special enough dinner for a guest. I had to go to a meeting and didn't get home until late so it was easy to throw together. I also had some sour dough bread and butter and a glass of white wine. I didn't eat at all until dinner time - only tea and coffee - so I think those indulgences didn't take me over the limit. Freezing night with the wind roaring around the house. Snow in the mountains. And yes, that wind is straight up from the Antarctic. You enjoy that sunshine, up there.
I'm in today and very late to the party. Have been out today visiting my grandparents and then to a mothers meeting ( Yes really). Egg salad for dinner.
Lord but I'm so hungry now! Nearly there. Haddock and salad calling to me, and OH has presented strawberries and (gulp) cream for dessert :0.
Would be rude not to.
Oh well, perhaps avoid the scales tomorrow :0)
Well, I didn't eat until 6pm, but it did come to just under 600 cals. I even sat and watched my OH eat pasty and cake and helped ka eat a sausage roll and cake at lunch time. I am hoping there is a restaurant in that hospital as I can't eat pastry for a week while she's in :frown:
I have checked out my weekly calories and with about 7500 for the week, I'm hoping this week to have a good loss :clover:
My easiest fasting day ever
It's flown, with no thought of food!
Soon to have my 350 cal dinner as now getting peckish!
@AzureBlueAB enjoy your dindins! X
Well done@karenm resisting the goodies! Well done everyone who's now finished / nearly finished.
@rieur how did you get on? I'd say one dollop of buttercream is allowable!
I dont think i cd poss bake a cake without having a little something...!
@BethP congrats on your graduation! Hope you enjoy having yr birth chart done, sounds interesting
@peebles hope the day didnt drag too much xx
The fast has just bombed and at such a late hour too. Freshly baked bread and butter nibbled on, 2 slices. So I'm tuning it into a 22/2 instead and enjoying it.
