@Sallyo good to hear from you, take it easy for now, day by day. Sending you lots of love
Um @GMH are you really ok after your HUGE slap on the butt, back and head? :clover: :clover:
Too many in the wars at the moment, a friend in Qatar has a broken foot!
Best wishes to all, tis good to talk. I'm fairing well.
Oh, yes I fasted 500cals! Wishing all fasters a good fast today and tomorrow. :clover:
I've had a busy fast day, but I'm almost done. I treated myself to a mani-pedi today, in honor of doing well for the past two weeks. I also had a lovely coffee date with a friend in lieu of lunch today.

I was *really* hungry this afternoon, and I was low on my steps. I normally hate going for walks on a fast day, because it makes me really really hungry. This afternoon, since I was crazy hungry anyway, I decided to exercise. I walked 2 miles and it made my appetite disappear for a couple of hours, which was long enough to make it to dinner time :-)

I'm at 25% of my TDEE, and hopefully I can stay away from the kitchen for the rest of the night.
@Lizbean Iam seriously lucky, the wet fish slap was beneficial 450 cal fast :-) as for slamming backwards into a not closed fate onto concrete, miraculous that I broke nothing (well assume not as I don't like Drs) massage was sooo helpful but I'm mindful that at my age u can bteak ur hip if u trip ovet a dog, but I've been slammed to the fround my running dogs a few times, must have strong bones? @Sallyo enjoyed being waited on, hardest part is driving or not being able to, I broke my wrist 20 years ago 2 months off on workets comp, loved it LOL did the Pearly hill walk with Mr P my dog of the time, we loved it  hope your time goes as well!
struggling to type with one hand.
home again . capital letters - i've given up on them. did i say? a plate and 8 screws. it doesn't hurt. fell over at work. there was a basketball ring left lying down outside my office. i was striding out with a box of stuff which had taken me hours to prepare on my days off. i landed on my chin and my hands. it was a quarter to 9 am. struggled as far as the sports store - my office is in the gym, and collapsed. dreadful shock. sweating massively! nausea , couldn't sit up. children alerted the office. ambulance and oh arrived. but it's all good now. hopefully little sis can come down from sydney in a week and help us. yes, driving will be the biggest issue. thank you all for your kind concerns.
Oh you poor thing @Sallyo. That sounded very painful and frightening. I hope you get better soon.
Xxx julianna
@Sallyo that fall must have been frightening and it happens so quickly. -but you are through that now. You must be relieved to be at home with more help coming, or already with you. I imagine that your yoga work may have prevented the fall from causing more damage. Bad enough that your wrist took the shock. I hope you heal easily and you can soon do more with that hand. There will perhaps be physiotherapy. ( There's a lot you can do at the piano with the right hand :like: ! I'd be happy, seriously, to record and email or send a CD of a left hand part for you if you choose pieces, so that you can play along for the time being! How about some Mozart...wonderful RH melodies. Your Yamaha may be able to import a track? You can also absorb a vast amount by listening to recordings while following the music....professionals prepare concert programmes for weeks away from the piano! It's astounding that the brain can prepare all that. it has been found that the "Mozart Effect" can be very healing . Google it!! )
Lots of love, K  :clover:
@Sallyo, sorry to hear about your accident. Good that you got medical attention right away, hope it heals up fast! My hairdresser broke hers skiing a few years ago; considering the mobility needed to cut hair, it took over a year before she was back to normal (man, my hair suffered; it got really long and wild...naturally curly).

I've had a few falls over the last 10 years, the worst injury was a badly pulled hamstring, for which my coworker/friend forced me to call the EMTs. As I inline skate I always wear wrist guards (as well as a helmet and other pads), since wrist injuries are the most common serious skating injury (it's instinctive to catch yourself with your hands in a fall). I've joked before that I need the skating safety equipment for walking around, since that's when I get hurt!

Re: fasting--busy but uneventful light day. I visited some friends; they were very nice about it, but a little too worried about feeding their daughter while I was there. What did they think, I'd leap on her like Jaws?
