Morning Thursday fasters. It's a grey day here in London. Completed two hours work at home so far - it's now time to head into the office as rush hour is over. I try avoid travelling in the rush hour ..... it will be a long day as I have a meeting this evening in a pub! So 200 calorie soup at lunch and then a small healthy starter to nibble this evening with my sparkling water. Happy fast day everyone :clover: :clover:
Lenten fast
19 Feb 2015, 11:49
This is my second day on my Lenten fast. I still do not know how to start a new Forum topic. NO ONE ANSWERED MY QUESTION YESTERDAY, and cannot find the info on these pages...
When I woke up this morning I was feeling fantastic. Fasting does that for me. I had lost 700g. Maybe it is getting rid of the extra water from my system that makes me feel so much better. So I feel very encouraged about my Lenten fast. Any one else doing this?
It is good to have the fellowship of fellow fasters here in this forum. Thanks.
And I am in today too, although not feeling as strong as last week! Went to the theatre last night and munched my way through a bag of pick n mix sweets (so annoyed with myself) :curse: I will NOT give in, I will NOT give in.......
Quite pleased with how today is going I've used about 100 cals so far. I'm working from home today and trying to keep busy.
Hope everyone's day is going well.
Been in today... blanked on posting on the forum, though. Had a bit of an unusual day.. I usually just start off with coffee and then some water and a bit of tea later and wait a long time before I plan my evening meal. But with mum starting to finally improve in the ICU they've said she needs some high protein, healthy foods to give her some energy/strength. So I made a fast-day appropriate beef stew this morning (hard to resist tasting it!) which I then added pasta shells to for her. Sort of killed two birds with one stone. She actually managed to eat a good part of the food and I had a fast-ready meal for me to reheat as soon as I got home from the hospital. And it was yum.

I suppose I'm mentioning this as despite things being so wonky the past month and having to keep bouncing from home to work to the hospital and back again, I've been able to keep going with the fasting. It's probably been helpful to keep at a constant that's good for my health, if that makes sense. If anything it's made me feel better. Glad I found this WOE.

I think, despite never watching EastEnders and the fact that I still have NO idea who this Lucy Beale is/was, I'm going to tune in for for the episode tonight!

Hello
To post you go to the forum section. So look below this message and you will see it - I think it says choose a topic. Then click on it and it will offer you the forums. Then you can choose the forum that fits and you can start a new thread. Well I think that is how you start a new thread, if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will kindly say.
It's 1am and I need my bed, sleep tight.

@Ladantrying lots of love to you and your Mum X0X :clover: Did you find out who this Lucy is? :?:
I had a very easy fast today, but forgot to post. Hope you all did well.
I've been in today. Decided to keep my regular light day despite it being my birthday; will have birthday dinner at my sister's house on Saturday (veggie lasagne). I have found it's better to keep my regular days unless there's a REALLY good reason to make an exception. Monday was President's Day and my friend and I went skating; not a problem keeping my light day. (I did tell him when he picked me up, as we went to Alki, a beach with one of our favorite after-skate restaurants...not eating out today!) It's just after 9pm here, and I had my broth. Will be having dinner soon...My usual Beyond Meat strips with veggies.
Margotsylvia, what I do, is I scroll down below the recent posts, and look at the headings: Fasting Today; Hot and Sweaty; Off topic forums; etc etc. Then I click on the one that fits and up the top, on the left is a 'post new topic' button. Click on that and there is a box to put in your title. Probably that's just what Lizbean said, but I wanted to say it too!
