@CandiceMarie
thanks for your feedback that is having a happy impact on me Image I, too, was inspired to frame fasting the way I do. It was not about fasting yet a method to let go of old blockades and (toxic/harming) energies. The author's name is Willem Lammers, his book: Phrases to Freedom: Self-Coaching with Logosynthesis. It's got "Look inside" on amazon (I do not order there, though, to help the little bookstores survive). Maybe this resonates/rings a little bell of truth inside for someone else, too.

I speak out loud special phrases before every meal. I modified them and adapted the letting go of fat cells. It helps me a lot like a daily vow I give to myself when eating (or fasting). When in public I say them toneless in my mind only

Happy fasting all, I will do my next on Saturday (probably) or tomorrow. Not sure yet.

M
I'm in! Woke up early and have NOTHING planned to do today. Aargh, it might be a long one.

@Peebles that's exactly what happened to me last spring... I didn't want to lose weight, so thought I was safe to let my regular two fasts a week slip to being occasional ones, I stopped using MFP, stopped regular weighing,(and maybe I started eating more 'treats'), so I started to put weight on. (No surprise!) Maybe a timed break would help you @Peebles ...you could tell us when to give you a shout to restart so you don't make my mistake!
Maintenance is hard to crack... I don't want to feel as though I'm thinking about my way of eating all the time.
I'm in too. 3rd fast after my 6-7 month break where I gained almost 10 kilos
But I've already lost 3 after 2 fasts so that got me quite inspired! A pair of new jeans ( too small) is hanging in my wic as a reminder of where I want to be.
I wish you all a great day and an easy smooth fast!
Yes I forgot to log in earlier too. My day is done. 3 x 1000 or under fasts for the week. It still has it challenges, even tho there are double the calories, however much easier than 500 cals. @Peebles may I suggest you give that a try? I actually still lose weight on 3x1000, even tho it's maintenance. I am experimenting with maintenance and plan to try 2x1000, 2x goforit   and 3x sensible! I find this fasting lifestyle has made me eat like a wildebeest on feed days. I now eat crap I hadn't eaten for years, so when I stopped fasting for awhile, I was like a wildebeest 7 days a week. Now I'd like to get back to eating 'good' food, cutting out processed and the odd bucket of chips/fries with trans fats. So I will have a shot at less days of wildebeest, less days of restrictive calories and see how I go. I don't want to cut wildebeast or fasting out completely, because all or nothing is a characteristic of my personality.
I am in too :like:
busy day ahead for me so it might not be to difficult
I hope
good luck to everyone :clover:
Good luck today everyone. Not joining you today as I already have fasted for 2 days this week. Plus it's my youngest's birthday today so cake later. Not sure what we are having for dinner though.
Don't despair @peebles. I'm really impressed with peeps that can lose weight on 5:2. I have always found that I eat too much on the 5 days and so don't lose anything...in fact probably gain. I have to do ADF to keep myself in order!!
Gonna wait until tonight before I eat anything and I've got a busy day in the shop today. :dazed:
Hi You all,
I am fasting today. Haven't eaten anything as yet. It sure helps the time go by, reading all these 'fasting today' mails. I am not at all hungry. Just feel kinda weird.... but one must put up with that. At 15.00 I'll have afternoon tea with milk ( I don't like black tea very much) which always ties me over till supper time at 18:00. We're having leftovers so don't have to cook. Not entirely low carb... but what the heck. Hope we all make it OK through today!
I'm in today - hoping for an easy one as Tuesday's fast this week was one of the most difficult I've ever done hunger-wise! I blame the cold weather the UK is having at the moment. Two cups of tea so far today, currently holding on till soup for lunch. motiviation is pretty high as it's weigh in day tomorrow (last time I did 5;2 I found fortnightly weighing worked well for me motivation-wise). It will be the my first weigh in since going back on 5:2 earlier this month, so hoping for a good result! I have started exercising though so prepared for the fact I might not have lost...

Good luck all :clover:
Just back from a meeting..declined the tea, biscuits and sweets but grabbed three biccies for the magical tomorrow! Keep strong fellow fastees x!

Good afternoon fellow fasters I'm doing OK so far and have a nice dinner planned, its usually around 4pm that I struggle but I know it will pass.
Weigh in day tomorrow so that keeps me motivated.
I'm in today :) Happy fasting all :clover: :clover: :clover:
Another Thursday faster here! Could be a long day as it's only 8:45AM and I'm hungry! We had a tough legs workout at boot camp and then I came home and had my normal 130 cal protein shake. Plan is to have nothing until dinner tonight around 5PM. Then it's a salmon burger on a bed of greens.

Doesn't help that I'm not busy at work. Loooooonnngggg day!

Hope you all have a great one!
:clover:
Lunch break! And I decided to treat myself to soup as it is another chilly day - 'Asian spice' warmed me up nicely, it was delish. For only 190 calories it felt like I'd had a special meal!
