I'm in. Early. Hope to have a small breaky and then hold off until dinner time. I'm away from home, in Melbourne today,so it may not be easy and I can't control what's for dinner as I'll be at my sister's house. So maybe it will just be a low cal day. My OH"s friend who we are staying with in Geelong is on ADF so that makes it easy. He's fasting today too.
Hi there @Sallyo..i' ve just finished Wednesday's TDEE so i am more than ready for the Thursday fast and repair. Bring it on! Even tho i still have to go to bed before it gets to Thursday, the fast starts here, where i finish Wednesday's grub!
Good luck to all Thrilling Thursday Thasters! :like: Go forth and fast fabulously!
Glad to hear you're staying with a fellow ADFer @Sallyo! And Candy? We're fasting together again...tomorrow!!
Love it when we're in sync Beanibobz xx!
I'll be joining the Thursday fasters for yet another Thursday fast tomorrow, which will mark 11 months since I started fasting.

I must admit there is a part of me that is getting very tired of fasting twice a week, but since my weight has stabilized at this weight while fasting 2 days a week, since early November, chances are good if I cut back on fasting I will start gaining. So fast I must!
I know the feeling @peebles..i get it regularly x
Congrats on yr eleven months! Almost yr fastiversary!
I think we have to somehow make it more interesting for ourselves, or it can just become a drag
I was in danger of exactly that, but thanks to @mahalo ...she gave me a bit of a boost by talking of how she looks at shedding the fat as also shedding the negative emotions and experiences that go along so often with weight gain
This really captured my imagination and has helped me get a fresh focus and perspective x hope it helps you too x
I am in today for a light day rather than a fast, I think. I will aim to eat as late as I can - given Thursday is a normal fast day for me, and I keep busy all morning with household chores, then today am taking the dogs - yes, those in the avatar - for their annual check up and jabs, then I should make it to latish afternoon.
I did fast yesterday until 6pm but then let my calories exceed my allowance... Still have those holiday kgs to shift. :(

@Peebles, if you are getting sick of fasting, and you want fasting to be a way of life for you, then perhaps you need to do something to change your feeling. I understand the fear of putting on weight and that if you stop you may have trouble starting again but I wonder if giving yourself a couple of weeks off fasting might be a help? A break of a week or two should not result in much if any weight gain if you are reasonable careful - even if you do gain a little, it may be worth it if you feel like fasting again. When I was suffering from continual hunger after about 18 months of 5:2, and fed up of fasting too I think, at carorees suggestion I took a break from fasting. I think it was only a week to 10 days later that I felt a real need to fast again, and off I went! (Mind you, when I am holidays, I can happily go for weeks without fasting... Hmmm...) Or what about just doing eating windows for a while? Or low carb? (I can't recall which of these, if any, you may already be doing, sorry.)

I am sure you have read the fasting library info about moving from a plateau too - though given you are very knowledgeable about fasting issues, you would have considered possible options already. Best wishes and good luck! :clover:  :clover:
I'm in, in the morning. I didn't sleep one single wink last night, so it's bed for me - very soon. I'm feeling very wonky now   :sleepy: :sleepy:
Thanks for leading us out @Sallyo how nice to meet another faster in person! @peebles - I feel for you. I found, my 11th month (November) trying but I made it through mainly by being gentle to myself while still fasting. Reaching my fastiversary was a very significant psychological moment for me and a new turning point. After weeping I got my mojo back - so hang in there peebles, spring is also nearer day by day.
@CandiceMarie how lovely Mahalo has raised your spirits! It's good to talk
Happy fastday to everyone :clover: :clover:
Hi All,
I'm in for my Thursday fast! I was very determined this morning despite an (almost) sleepless night and feeling very sorry for myself when I woke up! I drank a long black (strong black coffee to you fellow pommies!) and it gave me a massive head rush and dizzy spell and I was very nearly sick! I normally avoid caffeine on fast days as I find this happens but I was just so tired so thought I'd give it a whirl! Won't be doing that again. Just starting to feel normal now after 2 hours of deep breaths!
So I've avoided weighing myself after having 3 weeks (!) off fasting over Christmas/New Year/back to work blues, but plucked up the courage on Tuesday morning to find (after a Monday fast, it has to be said) that I hadn't put a pound of weight on since my lowest weight this fasting-go, in November. So in fact, I was less than I was before Christmas! So I thought either I didn't put on as much weight as I thought over Christmas, or, less likely, the 4 fasts I've done since have leveled it out. Anyway, I was very chuffed and it's giving me fresh motivation. Long may it last!
Hope everyone has a wonderful fast today, I'm treating myself to a salad from the local chicken shop for dinner.

PS. my location, BMI and 'weight lost' details seem to have gone from my messages - anyone know how to get those back? It's encouraging to look at when I post a message!
What a lovely feeling to be at your lowest weight @kelkelkelster - good for you! Fasting is a wonderful antidote to a bit of overindulging. :)

Re your stats, these are now hidden behind the little cog to the left of your name. Just click on that, and the details appear.

And what is it with you and @Lizbean not sleeping??!! Hope you are both okay. Take it easy today. :)

btw black coffees get me through fast days, but I do have them weak - I am not a real coffee drinker, I prefer instant!!
Got through the morning. Lizbean, I know a number of fasters in person. However i do find forum fasters even more supportive because I can obsess about fasting and tell my story in minute detail. Go well everyone.
I'm in too. Doing my tax today, so keep reaching for food to keep me sane, and then remembering just in time not to boredom eat. Why didn't I do my tax 6 months ago, why didn't I keep better records, why am I so useless at filing things? Think it's a very good thing today is a fast day, otherwise I would have eaten 10kg of chocolate by now, trying to ease the pain.
I'm in. Busy at work which is always good and makes the fast go by. Today I joined a gym for two months so I can do alternatives to running/HIIT while my sprained ankle recovers. I did 30 mins on the rowing machine during "lunch". It made me feel good to do a bit of cardio, even if light. I've been struggling without my usual level of exercise the last few weeks and combined with Christmas, I've definitely gained....

Just have to keep sticking with it and will get there again
Hi everyone, forgot to log in earlier but here I am. @KataMac I feel your pain and you have reminded me that mine is still waiting to be done.
Happy Fasting
haha Wineoclock, glad it's not just me! Though my accountant is amazing - and this year I only had one thing on my list of things I forgot and have to send her, which is a record.
